The fact that people still get offended when the PAWN SHOP offers them considerably less then the item is worth still mystifying. You're at a place known to screw people over, and you're supprised when they try to screw you over.
@oldenweery7510
@oldenweery7510 3 жыл бұрын
That's because the dollar value of the item is the _retail_ value. It'a not screwing people to offer a price that will make money for the store; that's how it WORKS. When I was in business, most of my particular products cost me 60% of the retail price (one particular kind cost a whopping *75%*). So, I made 40 cents on every dollar's worth I sold, which paid my rent, utilities, phone---and whatever was left was mine. And remember, whatever is spent for stock has to remain to replenish your stock. Nobody can buy things at retail prices for resale. (I was on Food Stamps during the first couple of years until I built up a clientele.) Stay safe.

I have so much respect for the first guy (And why is that Washington's coat is not in a museum?). Jimi Hendrix's own guitar which he used to play for less than a million, nope (though many would for $600k). Find the right auctioneer, it would fetch in millions I'm sure. For those who doesn't know who Jimi Hendrix is (omg!), he is the God of Guitar.👍

As always, I loved the video. However, there was one item that most certainly should've been on the list, the sunken Taj Mahal treasure. It has thousands of silver pieces all fused together from being submerged n salt water for centuries. A find like that is incredible alone, but when u add n the fact that it was one out of literally 2 ever found? That is what makes it, n my eyes, a priceless treasure. I love Pawn Stars, and have been blown away time and again by some of the things I've seen on the show. The Taj Mahal treasure tops them all. Anyways, should've been on the list. I'll go ahead and forgive u this time cuz your videos r among the best on KZbin, and this is a Top 3 channel n my book. That's just me. Keep up the good work. We r watching.👀👁️👁️👀

I found a guitar. It had a few strings missing, so restrung it. Turned out to be be a specific brand and worth a decent amount of money, so sold it and bought my car. Wish I hadn't now. Also found a chunk of labradorite on the banks of the Thames. Labradorite is mostly found in Canada, so it was a special find. Still have that.

Tjis is so cool! I've never seen a full episode of this show, but I'd be interested to go on it. Lol. My dad was a hoarder, and when he was young, he used to be a painter. Sometimes he'd paint houses or churches, and when people gave me the trash, he'd take from it. In one church a priest gave him a Carlos Santana guitar that Santana played in the original Woodstock. The guitar is currently in my possession. In another ocassion my dad painted a old guy's house, and he gave him a first Edition of Hamlet (1603). It's really battered and missing a few pages, but I have it in a zip lock bag in my closet. And lastly, my dad was born the day Spider -man (comic) debuted. My grandfather bought two copies and long story short - at this moment in my Closet I have the original first 4 comics of Spiderman.
