Replacing Leno with Conan wasn't a mistake, Giving Leno another show before Conan aired was the mistake that drove down viewership.

Huh? Not even close. Jay was #1 and they didn't want to replace him but Conan (who was perfect for the demographic of the "Late Night" audience but not at all suited for the earlier time slot that attracted a much older crowd in much of middle America) insisted. And Conan wasn't even as funny there because he had to tone it down a bit so no one won. They made a mistake in moving Jay and Conan, but it was Conan who insisted. Jay did what he was told both times without complaining like a loyal soldier and when he returned guess what? The Tonight Show was #1 in the ratings again above Letterman. Jay got the raw end of the deal with the backlash he did not deserve. He should never have been moved from a time slot he was much more compatible with, especially after so many years of loyalty at #1. And Conan got a VERY hefty payout (like $40 million I believe) when he would not agree to simply move the Tonight Show back 30 minutes. If I were Jay I would've given the brass at NBC the middle finger.

No one has said "DNA" more than Maury Povich. Not even close. His show was the exact same show, over and over and over, for ywars and years and years. And everyone just sucked it up amd up and up. That whole era of tv was just revolutionary. It chsnged tv to what it is today. I remember when you couldn't even close to swearing, like since tv started. Now you hear every word George Carlin said were the dirty words you couldn't say. You hear "f" word like its nothing now. But that whole Geraldo, Povich, badboy shows just slowly pushed the envelope slower and slower to what it is now. I think it makes for more real tv and we all i think are desensitized to vulgsr language.

The murderer in the last one got off on a second-degree murder charge not because of previous mental health struggles like this claims, but because he used the gay panic defence, which is basically where you say a gay/queer person came onto you so you had no choice but to kill them. It's still a valid defence in a lot of states. It seems his lawyers did bring up his mental health issues as well but they weren't the legal reason he was able to get off on a second-degree charge instead of first.

As much as people want to deny or ignore it, there are a lot of jobs that people consider "below" them that end up getting filled by minorities and immigrants. It is a very real societal problem that won't be fixed by limiting immigration and forced deportations. The upper class often have employees whom fall into these categories.
