"Life is a Highway" is such an epic song, though thanks to "Cars", I was more familiar with Rascal Flatts' rendition.

I prefer the Cars version over the original any day. I don’t like the original version at all.

Down Under. That song makes you want to visit Australia.

Precisely, I could never make out the lyrics, aside from "I Come from a Land Down Under." Have you ever travelled to Australia yourself? 🇦🇺

@@trinaqNo, but I want to. My first book is about an American college student traveling to Australia for spring break where he finds love with a local. Have you?

Very cool selections :) I don’t know why, but one song that inspires me to travel is Stylo from the Gorillaz. I can picture myself riding in a red convertible along a beachside road at sunset, the wind flowing through my hair, and white framed sunglasses on my face. I’d also be wearing beachwear 🧡

I can think of a few others off the top of my head. “Don’t Look Back” by Boston and “Drive” by Ben Rector both have great road trip vibes. “Kokomo” by the Beach Boys and “Go” by Lionel Richie and Akon are good for a romantic beach getaway.

Peter Gabriel’s song Solsbury Hill is about breaking away from Genesis the band. It’s not a mystical trip to a mystical place even if somebody put it in Wikipedia, it isn’t true.
