My top 5 before watching this: 1. Press E while flying with no parachute 2. Eating fertilized Giga/Wyvern/Rex/Spino egg 3. Press J in base where you have lot of well arranged tamed creatures 4. Force eating narcoberriec/narcotics yourself, not unconscious creature you are taming 5. Taming creature but using normal arrows

I just lost a snow owl a couple of days ago, was looking for Thyla's to tame, somehow one was on the wrong side of a tree so i didn't notice, got dismounted, immediately became surrounded by a pack of raptors and the thyla, i managed to escape jumped of a cliff but i calculated i was going to hit the water and survive which i did, the dinos followed me down but I finish'them up with a shotgun. I threw a megatherium out to try and save my owl but then i saw the log that my owl was eaten by raptors. 😑 Since then I've been looking for high level Owls and it's a pain in the a__, now I'm going to breed owls and everything to make sure i don't have to go taming things. This is the reason why ark is the scariest game I've ever played, losing your stuff is painful.

On ASE I was taming a diplodocus with the lystro kibble, had 50 Kibble in my last slot and a pego steals it, and instantly consumes it for taming but gets less than 1% taming. It was so hard to get lystro kibble then.

I laughed...I cried...and I laughed. So relatable.... Number 4 and Number 1 both have been solved in my case by ALWAYS keeping TWO parachutes on the last slot of my hotbar. I even do this on Aberration where there are no pegos/icthys and no flyers lol. And no, it is not ok to only have one parachute. TWO. Number 12 is the biggest oof for me. Just a tip: in English, for Top 20s, we typically count down from 20, so the #1 thing is last, and considered "top". Kinda weird for non-native English speakers, I realize lol. English is an absurd language. Great video. I've done 100% of these things more than I am willing to admit.

as a solo PVE player I can add a couple of things, when I started playing ASE it was just before they brought in Cryopods and I have learned many things during tha ttime like when there is a titanasuar near your base with all of your dinos dont attack it or attck anything near it besaue when something hits it well death and total distruction happenes I did this and lost many many many hours or real time months of game play so I learned early not to do that ., or leaving a dino on passive while enteringa cave and its outside only to get red text bescue itwas killed by bugs lol . another is always laways laways put a bed or sleeping bag near any caves you plan on goin g in becsue nothing like say like on the island and going into the cave on carno island dieing becauseo f some silly mistake and not having a dino to fly or ride back across the shark filled waters to get all your gear back . or back then again we had to wlk a chain of dinos to earch place for boos fight like the volcano not haveing all your dinos on passive while climbing that long trail up the mountain then when inside the moutain not havibng all your dinos following on dino because you lose them all if that one dino jumps off a cliff chacing another dino into the lava below . Ithink the most funniest thing tha tever happened to me was on one of the none sory maps afer rag and tha twas I hd just tamed two new flyers both where PTs male female I had a tiny camp was goingto breed then just to get somethign a little beter Iws up above a swap area and in that swap ther were allot of barries so being impatent I decided iwould go see whwat leve lthose barries were iwas flying whtaI thought was pretty high but was caprowed off my barring and knocked into blieve me when i sy thins 4 barryes which then porceeded to stun me an then killed me that wasnt bad enough becsue everything i had was on me new rifle and tranqs so I spwan at my bed jumped on my only othger dino which was the other pt fly obver and again same thign happened I was caproed then stunned killed by a pack of barries, so I ended up starting from scratch and where tha tswamp was was alos closeto the redwoods so I deceded ( afew days later ) that after I tranqed tamed another pt tha tI woul fly over the aea only this time much higher to check it out and close to where I had died twice before I wasw sniped my a max level thyla that killed me in the swapn close to hwere I died again lol I had to just stop playing and go for a longer walk to the sotre for about an hour came back and redid everythng staying a away from that part of the swap next to the redwoods . now I laugh at that but back then was very upset . I think my biggest lesson though was not prppearing for the king on etinction speding months real time taming breeding giga was a huge waste of time now I only tame a nbreed a few then kill the other titans allot then tame them and fight the kjing killeign thenm up to and including alpha king titan I learned that lesson that not even 100+ max level fuilly breed giga cannot kill that king only ice titan and if you can the mega mech can kill the alpha. not eve n150 max bred leveled gigas can kill the gamma king lol at least playing and doing everything solo solo

Oh gosh, I lost a valuable Argy egg gifted to me to either the peg or bird. I also accidentally dismounted from my Ptero. And got eaten by Pirahnas. And got sniped by a Thyla and Microraptor. But given I’m primarily a single player mode kind of gamer, most of the rest I haven’t really experienced. You forgot the Troodon snipe and losing your raft to a Leeds.

Honorable mention: 1. Dying from fall damage because water wasn't deep enough. Worse when it happens to your creature. 2. Getting dismounted by cnidarias. Bro those are hellspawns, once your tame stunned your pretty much cooked, especially if you didn't bring any underwater shooting weapon 3. Getting your flying creature killed while dismounted because you touched the water by a 0.0000001 nanometer. Happens way to offen on Ragnarok, and probably really annoying on pvp. 4. Lossing your stuff or creature in the instakill doom pit. I swear whoever adds those to survival games should be punished by deleting their reproductive organs. 5. Being unable to tame a really good high level creature because of your progession level. Yeah, hope i'm not the only one who have witnessed a level 150 tuso that you can't tame before the server restarts, because of you being just spawning on the server. 6. Getting tamed on pvp. I didn't play pvp a lot, in fact i have never been tamed, but i could just imagine how dishonourable it is

Lol almost everything you mentioned happened to me one way or another. One more thing is when you loot a drop quickly because there are carnivores around and you overencumber yourself and get killed because you can't move or drop things fast enough lol I am a PvE player trying out PvP. What's the best way of counter attacking or escaping when flier grabs you?

LOOOL I need to do a part 2 just by mentioning beacons 2 more things came in my mind - when you find a red beacon then land and shwoosh it is gone because you were too lose :D depends on the flier - smaller fliers like PTs and Tapes can be bolad - larger fliers are a bit more tricky but you can always grapple out of the grip by grappeling to the ground - if you have a strong pump or sword you can scare the enemy by dealing dmg those are the most consistent

First of all - stay calm only a calm mind can make the right decisions

Use grapple, have a crossbow with a grapples on the hotbar, when grabbed point up and hit the dino that picked you with your grapple, usually it will let go, remember to have parachutes or wingsuit. I haven't played PVP for years but i was very good at it, i once got picked, did all of that, the game was bugging probably because of lag, when i finally got free the parachute didn't open and i died. 😂 Back then me and my brother were the terrors of the server to the point that the only way that the top tribe wiped us out was through wall glitching with a squid, he couldn't get inside our impregnable cave then destroyed everything through the wall with a squid while we were offline. (No server should allow squid saddles since they are broken)

I don’t think the item has to be in the last item of your hot bar for a pegomastix to steal it if you don’t actually have anything in the last slot of your hot bar I think it just takes it from your inventory at that point, I could be mistaken I cannot remember 100%. I did have a cryoed level 250 argy taken in ase. I do not think it was in my last slot of my hot bar. I am pretty certain it was just in my regular inventory. I could be wrong tho it was so long ago. It starts at the end of your hotbar from 0 to 1 and if your hotbar is empty it starts at the top of your unsorted inventory
