Inuyasha was my very first anime and one of my all time favorites and I was so happy when Kagome and Inuyasha finally kissed and then got together! It felt like forever but I enjoyed their journey!

11:50 I’m not sure why people think Mari and Shinji are in a relationship at the end of Eva: 3.0+1.1. They barely spend any time together and show no interest in each other. Even the sound director of 3.0+1.1, Yo Yomada, said he did not instruct the voice actors for Shinji or Mari to act like lovers and that the last scene wasn’t romantic. The scene at the end is just Mari taking Shinji back to Rei (the person Shinji actually loves) and his friends. I understand why Mari is there since Misato’s last order to her was for her to bring Shinji back, after Gendo was stopped, plus the Rebuild continuity’s cyclical nature, and 3.0+1.1’s recurring motif of everyone getting to see each other again, after saying goodbye (“We say goodbye for when we hope to meet again”). Mari, herself, isn’t developed that much either. We hardly know anything about her. She’s more of a fun, but static plot device than a character, usually pushing characters to do things (getting Asuka to admit her feelings to Shinji) or commenting on how characters have changed (telling Shinji he smells different half-way through the film and then saying he’s smells more like an adult by the end). I like Mari and her friendship with Asuka, but I’m not seeing any evidence of her being in a relationship with anyone at the end of 3.0+1.1 or any reason why I should care about that.

I dont know if they count but Mahiru Shiina and Amane Fujimiya from The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. Basically, starting halfway through Episode 1 but beginning episode two, they acted like boyfriend and girlfriend the entire season, only making it official at the end of season 1. She confessed but he made it official. Had he had more confidence and not had his sad backstory, he would have been first. There's also Shiori Goshiki and Ichirou Kuga. Sure he started when he touched her stinger, but he had the removal procedure done to see if it was the stinger that caused him to fall in love or if it was genuine.

How is Naruto and Hinata the ultimate Naruto relationship? Shikamaru and Temari had more depth than these 2 did. Like the only thing that connects the 2 was that Naruto came to her defense when they were kids and that is just something Naruto does for literally everyone. Other than that there's nothing but a one sided romance for literal years.
