Yep. It is satire. Portraying terrible ideas or behaviors by terrible people is not the same thing as promoting those terrible ideas or behaviors. Ultimately, the show is very self-aware, and the main characters are the butt if the joke.

I always found it funny that Ben the soldier never got ruined like everyone else they interact with did. Every normal or chill person they interact with ends up worse off than when they were first introduced. And while it isn’t entirely the gang’s fault all the time, they always end up bad. Cricket, the Ponderosas, the restaurant Critic, the lawyer, the high school principal, the therapist, the girl who fell in love with Charlie, everyone ends up either having a terrible life or being angry and bitter. Except for Ben. He is the only person who 1. Isn’t a bad person, 2. Doesn’t become angry, bitter, or a bad person after interacting with the Gang and 3. Still remains happy despite multiple interactions with the gang, while others have been destroyed by shorter and more limited interactions

This is the absolutely best comedy show on tv! The podcast is awesome too. I love telling people about this show. They are portraying the worst people in the world and they are hilarious at it! They're the epidemy of extreme view points. And Dennis's face at 7:45 at the beginning of "Frank Chokes" is so good. Its a look of "Either shut up or die, because I truly do not care"

I can’t decide between Mac and Charlie. They both have some redeeming qualities but on the flip side they’re also both terrible people a lot of the time. I think people tend to give Charlie more leeway because he’s so…special. I do think that Dennis has the potential to be the worst of them all, if he allowed himself to live how he really desires to live. The guy is a stone cold sociopath. The last episode of S16 was truly magnificent.

There's a fan theory that says the series finale is said to be a giant court case. And the the shows's intro, the whole "9am, on a Saturday, Philadelphia, PA" stuff, is supposed to be The Gang's every interaction with the people they screw over.

I don't think they are going to do what Seinfeld did in their series finale. With all due respect to Seinfeld a show I love, Sunny is a much better written and crafted show. I doubt they will do an ending like that unless it makes sense to the show.

This is really the wrong narrator for this piece. It sounds like she's horrified by the existence of the show. Yes, many of these scenarios are terrible but that's also the entire point of program (the humor lies in how ridiculously awful they are). It's absurd and that is what = funny.
