The problem with some is that some of them, like the globe, can be a bit pricey for many. Something you definitely overlooked are the advent calendars, these aren’t exactly Christmas I know but they really deserved an honorable mention at least.

Lego’s price increases are kinda starting to remove the charm of seeing so many options for great sets. Since a lot of them are now in the 30-80 dollar price range, getting multiple good Lego sets is starting to get a bit iffy, especially on a limited budget.

#18 is actually underrated. It's so good! I don't understand why people never talk about it. The 3-in-1 theme all together is underrated.

My grandma has the Bonsai and I have the Infinity Gauntlet, and I was the one to build both. I can attest that they both look AMAZING in person and were fun to build. The Gauntlet has a lot of nice gold pieces and was an enjoyable build thanks to them just being really nice to look at. The Bonsai, while repetitive with the leaves, was still a lot of fun, and seeing all those frogs was funny too. The loose pieces are a bit of a pain when moving the thing, but it's overall not too difficult to move around. A lot of more recent sets haven't excited me at all, but the ONE set I want the most is Bowser. I mean, it's just such a cool set. You get a giant moveable statue of the Koopa King, what could be much cooler than that?

I actually just bought "Jay's golden dragon bike" as well as the "Ninjago gift set" both are quite nice given the price. I'll be building them Christmas Eve with my younger brother's. Thanks for the video spit brix

There’s a new retro throwback set out right now, it’s a spaceship with like 4 minifigures and it’s pretty cool. I think that set is gonna be a cult classic because of its retro style and callbacks. Speaking of, could you do a “Lego Sets That are Cult Classics” list?

I’m glad you asked what sets we’re getting for Christmas this year, I love sharing things like that! I’m getting the Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO Ideas set of Green Hill Zone, as well as the Bonsai Tree. Former since I’ve been a fan of Sonic for as long as I can remember, and latter for those adorable pink frogs! I also kind of want that “Princess Death Star” bootleg set that just2good talked about in his funniest LEGO bootlegs video, but it’s really expensive…

As a huge LSW fan, I really feel like you missed the mark on the Star Wars sets for me personally. The most popular large playset from what I've seen online seems to be new AT-TE, and while the UCS Landspeeder may be an accurate representation, it doesn't fit in with any other sets currently on the market due to its scale. Also 18+ doesn't necessarily correlate with difficulty, it's simply targeted towards a different audience and tends to have less play features. The new UCS Razor Crest was one of the simplest builds for me this year, as it has barely any technic structure or other complicated technique - which is really impressive given the beautiful outcome.

I love the Viking longship set but you can only build one set then you’d have to take it apart to make the others. It’s still great but the way you said it sounded like you got to build all 3 at the same time.

Honestly I would not recommend the ISS. It's a nice display piece sure but the set is completely ruined by the building experience. It kept falling apart and even now if I want to touch it I need to be extra careful so it doesn't break in half. So I'd say buy it if your main goal is a nice lego on your shelf but if you care about what it's like to actually *build* it just don't. Also as a European I am half-offended by the lack of effort that went into shaping it on th globe set.

Bonzai is very hard to build and keep whole. No fun. If you succeed to keep it together, the end result looks good. Hopefully you don't have cats or dogs.
