Hi, the concept of this video is precisely to focus only on 1 string and to manage to play known pieces. For a pure beginner, it's easier to concentrate on only 1 string at the beginning. Afterwards, we agree with you that Come As You Are is easier to play on 2 strings 😉 when you are not a pure beginner.
