This is a list of the top 25 A7x guitar solos of all time. Please leave a comment with your opinion, and what you think is the top solo of all time. Also, check my replies to others to see why certain solos weren't included or weren't higher on the list. The only regret I have is not placing Acid Rain higher on the list.

I find coming home's solo unnecessarily long. It is amazing, but some parts could've been removed to make it a shorter but more kickass solo. Again, this is my opinion. And I don't really like the MIA solo much.

This is a great video. I think anyone who claims that Avenged Sevenfold doesn't have blues in their music really needs to see this video. Every guitar solo featured has a tinge of bluesy flavour to it. Granted, it's more evident on the latter albums than on the first two - but even the first two have it, to a degree. Acid Rain is probably where it sounds the most raw - and the guitar intro to Buried Alive (the part that many radio stations, unfortunately, cut off) is unmistakeably blues. The only criticism I have is that I think Tonight the World Dies should've been added. There's a lot of great slide guitar work in that song, and I think it'd be the perfect song for introducing a blues aficionado to Avenged Sevenfold. But, yeah, I know - Avenged Sevenfold has so much good stuff, it's hard to narrow it down to a Top 25. Rock on! \m/

I really love you for saying this. I've been trying to spread that message for a while. Acid Rain is one of their solos where Syn was really able to show his skill with blues scales and music. The only reason I didn't include Tonight the World Dies is that Syn's dad is the one who plays the blues-y electric guitar in it. If I were to include it it would be in the top 10.

Avenged sevenfold has the best guitar solos I've ever heard :D I don't play guitar so I don't know what they're like in terms of skill, but they're all absolutely beautiful and incredible and they stand out to me as the best so XD

Good selection, but i have to ask, where's the sidewinder classical solo? I'd definitely rate that up in the top 5, the display of diversity and just raw musical talent is astounding. Don't get me wrong, i appreciate the technical stuff too, but this is what separates them from the masses.

Okay, I think I can now safely say that Syn is my second favorite guiarist. What a beast! great technic, fast as balls etc. and he is still developping, he hasn't peaked yet (I hope). very talented guitarist!

Quite honestly, it's one of my all time favorite solos, but the second solo is derived from the piano section that comes before it, which was written by Kevin Sherwood, not Avenged Sevenfold. So, I don't believe it should be any higher.

Sophera01 It's not really featuring Kevin Sherwood. That part is a cover for Kevin Sherwood's song "Damned" (look it up on youtube). Damned is the main theme song for Call of Duty Zombies. Not Ready to Die was written specifically for a downloadable Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies map called "Call of the Dead". As a nod to the extremely loved and popular original theme song for the game, Avenged Sevenfold included the piano theme song in their song (played with a different scale) and wrote their electric guitar solo version of it as well.
