Fantastic video. Just again shows how much of an amazing console the Dreamcast was. I remember playing Soul Blade/ Edge 2 in the arcade and thought it looked good then. When I first played it on my mates Dreamcast I was stunned how amazing it looked. It still looks great today.

Yes I played the PlayStation Soul Edge and didn’t see the Arcade Soul Edge 2 until after the DC version was released. Amazing fighter

@@thegamelounge659 without going into the specifics of the game engine, it is notorious for having infinite combos, and not just a handful of them like in old MvC games, but 1000s of them as a lower estimate. The FGC sometimes hold tournaments for it, where the aim is to hit your opponent once, then the rest of the match becomes the winner showing off their infinite

Damn i missed out on dreamcast if it had that many fighters on it, i started with the playstation when it comes to the bigger consoles so i got to experience soul calibur 1 in arcades way back in the day for the first time, power stone and rival schools i got from the internet. That's a really solid list, what a beast this system was.

Yeah it’s amazing just how many games there were. What started as a top 10, became a top 20, then a top 25 and I don’t think it’s filler. I left out certain sequels/originals like R2R:R2, the original Powerstone, Capcom Vs SNK 2

Cool video..love u picked up the atomiswave ports as well..Garou MOTW is great..i own the aes one, eheh :D The DC port wasnt arcade perfect..it lacks some of the AES/MVS original frames! I d put CVS2 in place of its prequel! SFA3 DC sprites are smaller than the SS ones...it also features a different colour for the health bar and different placed hit-boxes :P

Hey, thanks really appreciate the comment. Yes the Atomiswaves games are fantastic. It’s amazing what the community does with translations to keep things going. CVS2 I have never actually played. I need to try it out. You aren’t the first person to recommend it. Is that Saturn version of SFA3 superior? A lot of people have said it is the closest to arcade perfect…

Thanks, yes I tried to only include 1 per series. Although I never got to play Capcom Vs SNK 2. Dream match vs Evo was a coin toss. Honestly I didn’t play either enough to really pick one or the other, enjoyed both

A great list overall, but I would swap number one and two. Yes Soul Calibur looks slightly more flashy, but DOA is an overall better game IMO.

Totally agree, there are so many incredible unique games on the Dreamcast (Not just Fighting games). Ok many got re-released on modern consoles but people really missed out if they didn’t pick up a DC back in the day

I actually really enjoyed MK4, and this is an enhanced version. FV2 I really liked but the DC version wasn’t great compared to the Model 3 version

Yeah the gameplay holds up so well. In fact I’d love to see a Sega Model 3 collection with VF3, Scud Race, Sega Rally 2, Daytona 2 for example. Shame these games never came to console. Also, MvC2 only No.9!!!
