Teams in Northern Ireland for me always produce great budget players with about 140-150 potential. They often sell for around 5k and is a great option for saves in lower divisions in England or in Ireland

"Savio Milenkovic"? :-D We have FK Partizan's academy to thank for the likes of Stefan Savic (Atletico), Matija Nastasic (Schalke), Adem Ljajic (Torino), Andrija Zivkovic (Benfica), Nikola Bugsy Milenkovic (Fiorentina), Dejan Vlahovic (Fiorentina), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Newcastle), Lazar Markovic (on the way out in Liverpool)...and I could go on. Former players also include Predrag Mijatovic (CL winner with Real, scoring in the final), Mateja Kezman (PSV legend), Savo Milosevic (Aston Villa / Parma etc), Zlatko Zahovic (Benfica / Valencia)... Their city rivals, Red Star have just as many if not even more quality former players to boast. Just as good are Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split in Croatia, FCSB (former Steaua Bucuresti, Romania) is also a great academy from southeast Europe, but most of my cheap gems in fm 18 did come from Portugal, Scandinavia and the more obscure clubs in South America. Aside from regen hunting, you can get actual players from as little as 20 k - 250 k at the beginning of the game from Portuguese and Scandinavian clubs. Young talents like Francisco Trincao, Duarte Valente or Tobias Svendsen won't set you back more than a laughable few quid. I bought those three e.g. for less than 500 k combined and I sold them for 50 million a couple of seasons and promotions later.

Just found your channel and find it very useful! Some great guides! If I may suggest something... I'm really looking for a guide on the best way to start a game. As in the database set up. I'm not too bothered about the speed of my game but more for balance purposes. I've not really seen a good written or video guide for this. I have heard that having an imbalance of leagues loaded and players in the world can either make it nigh on impossible to sell players or make it so there are barely any players out there. I enjoy longevity in my games. Any tips?

Do you just scout all the intake players or just the ones from the clubs you said, for eg all Egypt intakes or just al ahly intakes?

How do you budget for scouting all these newgens? For many of these players across the pond one scouting report will cost me over $4000. That adds up, doesn't it?

You would still need to be a pretty biggish team to afford it. It's good for potentially lower league premier league clubs.
