Hi Steve, I've seen No Country for Old Men and enjoyed it. I haven't seen The Missing. I will watch out for it next time it's on cable. I haven't seen Three Burials or Brokeback Mountain either. Altogether I've seen 7 of the 25 films on this chart and my favorite of those is 3:10 to Yuma.

Good one

Thanks. I think there were 3 maybe 4 traditional westerns here that weren't TV movies, so I had to expand the western horizons, so to speak. The top rated old west movie in this time period is 3:10 to Yuma, which was excellent.

Which is a good one as is Open Range. Hard to argue with No Country for the top spot. Your next decade should include several more neo westerns I’m sure

Open Range was excellent too. Yep there will be an even odder assortment of westerns in the next video, and I think were was only one TV movie. Tarantino will figure strongly.

@@Top10Charts3978 What is considered revisionist?
@Top10Charts39783 жыл бұрын
There are a couple of westerns on there that have been dubbed 'revisionist' , movies that subvert or question the mythical vision of the Old West. I would say 'Django Unchained' is a good example of a revisionist western.

I have never seen a Macedonian western. Nor a South Korean one. Nor a North Korean one for that matter. But encouraging Kim to star in (and produce and write and direct and edit and score)

a North Korean western might take his mind off blowing up the world.

Hi Walter, I remember reading Kim's father was a big fan of the James Bond movies, which is interesting. He would stroke his white cat while watching them... maybe.
