I'm glad you had that scene for Dart Vader as number 1. That last scene in Rogue One, with Vader chewing through those soldiers after the plans, the fear in those soldiers - that is by far the best scene in any film. Real edge of the seat, even though I knew they got away with the plans, that scene still had me on the edge of the seat watching it. Just perfectly done.

Vader is top tier. He killed everyone on the capital ship with ease, like 6,000 people. And that's just a Tuesday. Dude can see the future, use TK, open dimensional portals against the will of the universe itself, and summon space leviathans the size of star destroyers.

Dude, I was seven years old in 1978 when I saw the original. That scene from Rogue One topped it, as far as the scene, but the original changed everything, forever. We used to argue on the playground about what the hell Darth Vader was; a robot? Why was he so scary? He was so terrifying!

@@stephenballard3759 That had to be awesome. I'm happy to have grown up in a time when filmmaking technology has advanced at such a rapid pace (relatively speaking) and seeing all these insane, spectacular films, but I always think about how incredible it must have been to see Star Wars in '78, when literally nothing like it had ever been seen before. And while the MCU is arguably the closest thing to Star Wars in terms of cultural relevance and impact on the zeitgeist, I can't help but feel it just isn't the same as Star Wars was for you.

What makes the Joker scene in The Dark Knight even better is that it was improvised. You can see Maggie Gyllenhaal look out of frame for the directors to stop it during the scene. Bit of a correction, Bruce did not send Jason after the Joker. Jason was trying to find who his real mother was and finds her being blackmailed by the Joker. Because of that she turns him over to Joker who beats him brutally then leaves them both in the warehouse with a time bomb. Batman arrives too late, the bomb had already gone off and Jason was dead while his mother lived just long enough to tell Batman that Jason died trying to protect her.

Defoe was the ultimate goblin but to see Spider-man's true power compare the first Holland vs Defoe fight to the last. Peter dominates him in the end because he is out to kill him and not pulling punches. Every hit is devastating. The only reason goblin beat him the first time was because Peter held back as he usually does for fear of hurting his opponent.

Yeah but Tobey's is older and so he's even stronger than Garfield Spider-Man and he has the most experience fighting tough opponents. Now he's going to have to take the heat and all the pressure that comes with being Spider-Man. Hoping he and Dr. Strange become the main characters for the next Avengers.

@@Zathren Marvel owns the rights to at least Holland's Spider-Man, which is why he can be in The Avengers. I believe Fox/Sony had the rights to MaGuire and Garfield's Spider-Men, but now that they've all crossed over, that may no longer be the case. It's the exact issue they still face with introducing X-Men to the MCU. They've had to gradually acquire them over the years, which is why few (if any, it's been a while since I watched) X-Men appear in Civil War, which originally includes all of the X-Men along with the Avengers and others in the comics. I couldn't agree less. Darth Vader as a character should not be punning. He's a burn victim space Nazi samurai who needs a machine to breathe, not a humorous jokester. Vader's whole thing is cold mechanical dread and fear, militaristic seriousness and hatred, not sarcasm and pithy remarks. The trouble is that the people who own these properties and characters aren't the people who made them in the first place which means they typically don't understand what makes them tick, what makes them actually work, and what they are underneath.

Only Vader can top those. I was actually disappointed in Thanos vs Hulk because the punches felt weak. Hulk has taken punches that sent him flying through buildings. I kind of expected a fight like Abomination vs Hulk or Superman vs Zod style where the power of the two is actually felt through the destruction of the environment around them. Iron Man vs Thanos was a better fight.

Using that iteration of Cell’s theme from DBZ as the backdrop to a superman villain is so oddly fitting

Ledger's Joker is like a personification of chaotic nihilism from some ancient Greek drama, and he never once loses focus. Euripides would kneel before him in respect. What an amazing piece of acting! Phoenix is fine, but it is all his very human pain - as a survivor of a childhood in a really terrible cult -- being channeled through Joker. There is nothing human about Ledger's. And yes Vader's march through that corridor has set the standard!

I am extremely happy that Fiora was on this list, i know she was with Zod but her character's skills added to the super powers was beautifully perfect and I loved her calm expression all the way too ❤❤❤

I'm sure somebody's had to have mentioned this but, that background music for the Marvel Strike Force in content advertisement is definitely a royalty free cover of Sweet Child of Mine from Guns and Roses, there's no mistaking it

Heath Ledger's Joker is the absolute best, coolest, badass villain of them all. Darth Maul was second best, in my opinion. Vader was more cartoonish in my opinion. A cool villain for the first film in the Star Wars franchise back in 1977, but there was no room for him to grow as a badass.

Since we are talking about supervillains in general you left out the following: 1. Sauron in Lord of the Rings, 2. The lord of the Nazguls. 3. Voldemort in Harry Potter. I see that this is Marvel's Supervillains, but if you add Darth Vader, then is not Marvel anymore. Plus you left our Dark Phoenix, Apocalypse and many more that deserved a scene here.
