Been waiting for years and I completely agree, I really wouldn't mind waiting for when it's ready but the constant yearly delays has really killed alot of my excitement for it :( ... they always do it last minute too, just give yourself 2 years and if it's ready, release it earlier and surprise us!

I love city builder strategy games so much. I've got hundreds of hours in Banished, Endzone, Frost Punk, Kingdoms Reborn, Timberborn, Settlement Survival, Tropico 6, Anno. Now to add another 5 or so to my roster.

I like frostpunk but its kind of awkward. Buildings don't fit well around the rings and the power consumption is really crazy - you can lose control so quickly.

I'm still waiting for an equivalent to Rise of Nations. Someone with the right planning and project management skills could release such a game that would truly claim the title. No other game has hit the complex simplicity of build your nation, advance through the ages, battle or innovate to victory like that R.O.N.'s.

Stormgate copies many elements from Starcraft. Tempest Rising looks like Red Alert. I am waiting for Builders of Greece, Age of Mythology and the City of Atlantis.

The one I am disappointed in the most is Broken Arrow. When they did their first 2 trailers they bragged that they were using a global mapping system similar to Microsoft Flight Simulator, in fact their tag line that got me was wage war any where in the world. Now its not even mentioned, probably abandoned, and now it looks like Wargame, Warno and Regiments. I played the Demo which is cool but its like those other 3, I was hoping to wage war anywhere in the world I wanted. Now it doesnt even stand out.

I can't say if it's going to release in 2024, but I also got both Global Conflagration and Red Chaos - The strict order on my list next to Tempest Rising. Feels like a bit of a resurgence for the CnC games, which I'm enjoying overly much so.

I still lament the fact that EA and Maxis killed the Sim City Franchise. Now Maxis only focusing in milking the Sims 4 to its fullest, nothing new came out from them and it seems it does enough money to go that way. Every year expect more DLCs coming out and basically bringing only 10 new content items to the game, which cost around 100 Dollar if you want them all.

Maxis didn't kill Sim City, EA did, Sims 4 "has" been milked to it's Fullest, EA just doesn't know it, Sims 5 is stated to be Online, say goodbye to that IP as well now, the Sims has never been and never will be an Online Game, this edition will fail spectacularly.

Travian used to be the king of strategy games but now is a waste of time and money. Pre-established alliances make it impossible for newcomers. There are no epic strategic fights any more as everyone is just into raiding failed players and farming. Monetisation has also gone crazy. A shame that a once addictive game has now become more like a chatroom.

There has emerged a profoundly upsetting trend among many indie strategy devs. They won’t release their games. Manor Lords for example is certainly in a playable state. Why they won’t release it? I have no idea. Ratten Reich was announced almost over five years ago. Not even a demo. Falling Frontier planned for a 2022 release. Not a word from the dev. The list goes on. I also must say: DO NOT PREPURCHASE AGE OF SIGMAR. I played the closed beta, it was total garbage. Awful. Stormgate is going to be a complete joke of a game. Trust me.
