The main road is key, Iwould say for it's length, the width is proportionate. A cool feature would be variable width road building. A hot key could be holding shift while scrolling to adjust the width of the road before you commit.

You could possibly jank out a monastery-like building but rn I dont think its doable Would be really fun to do a monastery region tho, I personally love the way they look and their logical designs
@OneProudBavarian6 ай бұрын
The problem really just is a lack of building variety - we'll have to wait for more variations to make it into the game, because at that point we can probably assemble something that feels like a monastery even if that were to not actually be a building in the game!

Thank you @OPB for an entertaining and informative series. Really enjoyed all your historic + regional inspired builds and light RP. 🍻 (For me, the most "charming" / appealing build was the ahnendorf in the prior series, but I think that has a lot to do with the building assets being a "best match" for that size of town). Looking up the hill to the new city - the silhouette really "nails it", as well as the view at ground level up the main road to the market. The throngs of people doing their things really sells the bustle of a major town. From bird's eye view, the new town in Sitte looks more densely populated and you can see that within 50-100 years the twin towns in Sitte merging over the hill, and then by the end of the 19th century, Sitte and the new city merging into a metropolis as the valley between them becomes more heavily populated.

This is my new favorite game, and it's not even finished yet. It already plays so well, but if the devs could somehow take the best parts of Medieval II: Total War's (or Thrones of Britannia's) battle mechanics and Crusader Kings 3's culture and politics mechanics and fit it into this superb city builder, I think it'd be one of if not *the best* medieval rpgs of all time.

On the steam forums someone claimed that they had cleared a bit of forest using the "deletion by field" method. Planting a field or pasture over the forest that contained the berries, in anticipation that the berries would be deleted as well, but the berry bushes remained. They were then able to build a road around the berry bushes and integrate them into the city they wanted to build there... Maybe worth an experiment in another video?

Some things I'd like to see implemented are: An upkeep cost for animals (Oxen/Mules etc) and Farms/Vegetable Gardens. Either in the Form of a Ressource, Seeds Food, or at least a monthly Yearly payment. It would also be great if Trade had a set amount for each resource. If you import something after X amount it could cost more, same if u sell something, after X amount it's worth less. All that could then play into different difficulty settings. At the moment it feels a little to easy to overproduce and the point of overproduction comes a little to fast. A lvl 3 House with a Backyard production could have the option to become a Shop instead of housing a second family, generating more wealth in the process. The ability to plant single trees, bushes fences for astetic reason of course. It's early access so only time will tell and patience is a virtue. Sorry for the long comment and thanks for the entertainment. 😂

This looks like Roman Castrum, with its two main orthogonal roads, the Decumanus Maximus and the Cardo Maximus. It would be completely reasonable to have a Roman fort there, up on the hill, near a water stream, in the Bavaria/Swebia region to protect against the German incursions in the Empire. Lore-wise you could say this was build buy the emperor Augustus to fortify the limes, then fell into disrepair during the early medieval period and got rebuilt thanks to the flourishing trade passing through, as the high elevation and walls would be perfect to protect both citizens and merchants from any incursions or lords. Ragensburg would fit the build fairly well, as it was also a castrum part of the limes with a cardo and Decumanus, although I doubt we could compare that puny stream with the Danube. Augsburg was also another Roman fort/colony in the area, with a much smaller river passing through.

Manor Lords needs to include wider roads as an option. My military has such a difficult time passing through my regular town roads and always walks ALL THE WAY around it, usually arriving too late to deal with bandits or get to the battlefield in time to secure or defend territory claims.
@TheSoxor1235 ай бұрын
You need to plan ahead when considering roads. I, too, had a single road all around my town, but as soon as I added a secondary road, it made my towns more efficient.
