@Darrien Criner yes we can give him that much credit. How often did Romo have a great defense? Dude put up 500+ yards and 5 TD’s against Denver but the problem is Manning had similar numbers. Something that was all too common w our past defenses. The front office didn’t give Romo enough help

I knew it would be Aikman to Harper in the coffin-nailing moment in the NFC Championship game in January of 93. It was such a big moment, the stakes were so crazy high, and that moment represented the exorcising of the demons of the 1981 season's NFC championship game when Montana beat them wish and prayer toss to Clark.

Hail Mary is #1 . .Danny White's TD Pass to Pearson against Falcons in Playoffs has to be in there.
@billbates54752 жыл бұрын
I remember watching many of these live. The 2 that stick out most in my mind was the 1979 last season game victory, the pass to Hill which sent us to the playoffs and it was also Staubachs last career regular season game before he retired. The 2nd one was the pass to Harper in the 92 championship game. That was the play that sent us to the superbowl. I believe it was 1st down and Johnson called a real ballsy play there. I was shocked. That actually was the spark that created THE DYNASTY !
@frankchukwumah94772 жыл бұрын
Was it the slant to Harper or the jumping catch.
@22steve5150 Жыл бұрын
I wish the clip on the 79 throw to Hill showed the crowd's reaction at the end of the game. It was Skins' QB Theisman's birthday and the Cowboys fans sang "Happy Birthday" as the game ended with a Cowboys come-from-behind win.
@aidanjamesmonaghan3 жыл бұрын
- White to Pearson late TD game winner (2nd White to Pearson TD in 4th Q) 1980 Playoffs v. Atlanta. - #20 belongs in Top 10. Staubach's last regular season TD & win, during all-time great game. - All-Time play that almost was: White to Pearson over the middle for 35 to mid-field, 1982 4th Q, NFC Title Game, the very next play after SF's The Catch. Only a handful of jersey stopped Pearson from scoring the winning TD and erasing The Catch from the history books.
@als2442 жыл бұрын
Absolutely Danny White is not getting enough love. But why is Witten's helmet coming off a top 25 play? I mean really? Not a playoff game. It barely top 1000
@ashleighelizabeth59162 жыл бұрын
The heartbreak of that SF game was that the very next play after the Pearson catch Danny fumbled the snap and SF recovered the football. And that was all she wrote. They only needed another 10 or 15 yards to get to field goal range and had plenty of time and 4 downs to do it in. Somewhere there is an alternate universe out there where Dallas kicked the game winning field goal with no time on the clock and went on to trounce Cincy in the SB that year. Makes me sad that I'm not living in that one...

At 10:23, that play almost sealed the game for Dallas as they would score a touchdown I believe by Kelvin Martin a play or two after that one. It came at a time when the game was close and hard fought on the road just in time to suck the air out of Niners' lungs. One of my all time favorites! If you want to be the best you have to dethrone the best and that is what they did on this day. Aikman to Ismail should be at or near the top. The story line of that game was compelling. Dallas was 21 points down to the Redskins in the 4th quarter. On the road against their nemesis. Aikman engineered the TDs to force OT and then that bomb to Rocket Ismail through blown coverage to win the game. That was 20 plus years ago and I still remember scraping my knuckles on the ceiling from jumping in ecstasy. Probably my all time favorite play along with the 1979 game (Staubach to Hill) that sent the Cowboys into the playoffs as NFC East Champs and eliminated hated Washington.
