I fished since I was boy. My grandfather introduced me to it and went all the time through high school and still doing it today. Used to fish at night a private pond near Norman OK. Lots of laydowns, humps, etc. The man who owed it fished semi-professionally and would bring back big fish he caught from tournaments. It was loaded with 5lb fish and several 8’s and a couple of 10’s. Those fish would blow up at night on those big baits you mentioned. Appreciate your insight and for you having this channel.

I remember night time fishing from the bank when I was a kid with a buddy, I was probably only 14 or 15 years old and we would fish all night! Some of my best fishing memories some 50 plus years later. Spot on topic for this time of year. You’re the best “E”!

We tournament fish at night here in East Tennessee and I love it. Some of my best times fishing. Caught all my biggest fish largemouth and smallmouth at night. Glad you enjoy it also.

Your mention of night fishing on Texoma brings back great memories. In the 70s I worked 2nd shift about 5miles from the Texoma dam on the Texas side. Me and a buddy would go after we got off at 11pm and fish around some of the big marinas. Fun times. Another great video on a great topic.

My top bait, day or night for the big smallies over here on Champlain is a Berkey black 4" curly tail, usually on a Carolina rig. Those Biggins LOVE IT! Thanks for the videos/knowledge sharing Edwin. Still find plenty of the pumpkin, thankfully I've got a pretty good stash and they're pretty durable and my cheap ass bites the head/end off n rehook um. The 3-4.98s still slurp it right up. Couldn't say 5 because I've only caught um up to 4.98 😂. Haven't been out much the last couple years, fixin to change that because since the alewife have shown up our 3.5lbers are now 4+ so just a matter of time.
