Im sitting at about a 73% survival rate and 1.3KPE and can confirm all of these things are extremely important. Keep moving, Zig Zag, maintain cover during fights, don't blindly push people into an open field because you "want more kills" unless you're into trading kills for a death. Also to these new players camping really horrible positions... think logically about what you're doing like laying down in a field is that really a good idea? In my opinion it is more satisfying to get 1-2 kills loot and a drop than to get 3-4 kills and die.

(Now 13k and counting) Hatfield here, the tips in this vid can be utilized pretty much across the board in shooters, and in real life if you should find yourself in the unfortunate scenario of a gun fight. I was taught this... "In a gun battle, open ground is death, concealment is better, cover is king. In cover they can't hit you. In concealment they can't see you but CAN hit you. In open ground..well...you gotta be better and/or luckier than anybody who can see you."

You forgot a mistake: being incredibly blind or deaf and not scanning the environment (had teammates like this in elimination). Enemy running behind him, he's looking left. An enemy is peeking an angle for 5 seconds, he's not taking the shot

ES16 or AKM depending on how you like to shoot with a RAK as your secondary for backup ALL DAY. I regularly go in with either 2 ES16 or 2 AKM's on my back instead of something more expensive. They're both so good right now I actually don't think it's right considering how cheap they are🤣

I get what you're saying. There's just times where it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. It doesn't seem like they want loot or even to win. It seems like they want your dispar or to make you feel oppressed. I've been in lobbies that were boosted, so someone paid for a lot of extra loot. Then there ends up being only a total of five people in the boosted lobby because a team left (two teams of two and you as a lone wolf). One of the teams of two ends up killing everyone in the lobby. Losses their buddy in the process. They're the only ones left in the lobby and they leave a hell of a lot of loot behind. So much loot in fact, no one really needed to kill anyone. If we played rational, we'd realize there's a major loot item for every person in the lobby at that point. If we don't kill each other, we all get to leave completely loaded and alive. Nope, they kill everyone and don't care. I noticed a long time ago on other games. People who use modded controllers, auto aim, rapid fire, shooting through walls, moving across the map faster than normal, invincibility on one of the games. I decided that if winning was just that important to them; I'll give it to them. They got really mad, sent me messages "why won't you fight... what are doing...?" I told them I'm giving them the easy kill/ win they want. They were mad and just decided to leave the match. If the win, the points, the score, the leader board stats isn't what they're after then what is it? Ah, they want you to feel a sense of defeat, anger, frustration, depression, and so on. I'd say maybe they want a challenge, but if that's the case... why the modded controllers that remove the challenge. Are we to say, I'm to believe they do not possess the cognitive skills to be able to tell. One, what is or is not a threat. Two, the fact that there's no way the people they're facing can beat them? I'm pretty sure they know that and is exactly why they're cheating. They don't want the win perse, in fact they don't care of they die. Just so long as you feel completely dominated and crushed or a sense of hopelessness. That's what it is. They got literally mad and rage quit when I started handing them the kill and the win and rage quit. Because that took away their joy and delight in causing misery to others. Now the Vigor Devs actually made it so if you attempt this in Vigor; you're the bad guy because "we can't detect cheaters" and the cheaters "we aren't cheating, we're being punished for being really good at the game."

The issues you raised are all factors in this game, or any game, for sure. That being said Vigor is NOT playing on premium, or even midgrade, servers. It's well known and understood. Even The Devs will admit to it if asked. I don't say all that to be a jerk towards the game. I say it because I have to be as honest as I can when I can about the game. In gunfights one has to be aware of how latency affects things

The only time aiming down sites is a good idea is at extreme distances. While aiming down sight you are locked into a narrow field of view and you cannot move your gun around fast enough to keep up with a guy doing dance moves. It is much better to learn and get good at using 3P shooting. Keep playing and doing what I suggested and you'll see what I mean.

It's a hard game and it's meant to be. I dunno if you have any real firearms experience at all but if you do a lot of that applies to the game. My controller settings video is almost done. I show in there the best way to control the recoil. This video is very nearly done

That’s because you’re thinking t of it as an fps which is upside down on many levels. First off there is no right way to win I have a buddy who has like 0.15 k/d and only plays solos but in his Mind he’s wildly successful And I can’t argue with that cus I’m Not Home But I’d say the most important thing is to have a left idea of what success means to your have let’s say 5 encounters. So depending on what you’re looking for even if you feel like you played bad bad, Ad Long as you played above average then you did well And sad you get better you can tee these things where for next 5 games you only care about getting tide as many kills but also twice as few deaths So that means looting doesn’t matter only getting kills that we’re expertly designed with an an and put and Maybe even a loop Back around and double bait guy yoy jsut killed if there’s narrow routes: or making appearance of a Lloud noises my exit getting pursued and then someone goes after the pursuer but you were him all along and said up a blind on that imaginary route and a lot of times these sorts of traps will Pick up multiple enemies allowing them to fight it out to the death and then yoy just cut em both down before they even realize what’s happening Tbh I get so many kills and loot dojng that kind of stuff the hardest part is finding it especially if one has early airdrop and I already have his stamina broken so he can’t sprint and jsut use him to draw in all the desperate fellas. And usually these Battles will determine entire lobby where you can jsut count and allow for everyone to be Wiped and slowly let the “winner” hobble towards the Exit and kill them right before they get to your traps and then add more traps while you go loot rest of map With no enemies and if a. Sneak steer at last minute pops in I make sure bombs get him Right before es out of range. I could go on and on but my point is is that I goose my fights and I never put myself in situations that are high risks why risk it? And when I don so I do so resizing it’s high risking and purposefully tryingTo draw out any leftovers and using phones to monitor any last minute enemies if not Near signals and know Where they are of a high or low threat based on what they do when they see my location. But all together I’ve never met someone with a higher average loot per game on their main account. And that’s the main metric I focus on and I don’t boost and have like 3500ish while still Being pretty new with under 500 kills and a litle under a kill per game. And that number has risen quickly as I’ve gotten better at predicting new my behavior and spotting the behavior of elite players and taking my Shots At them I have set up but If plan A doesn’t work and I can tel this Person in this scenario more often than not is gonna Win if I haven’t killed em already so I’ll set a final kill opportunity for impulsive players that even elite players fall Victim to when they sense easy Prey and their prey is feigning just how easy they are but if they dont bite down on that one then that’s when I may have to start cutting weight and thinking Seriously about keeping my distance especially if radioactive and one shot could do me in then at that point ammo And all That stuff I don’t need I’ll have wadu to jsut leave behind I wish they had a trap that l forced pursuing enemy to Confront a fork in road based on some Kind of audio trickery or something to disorientate them long enough to give you just a plain old tead because as rare as those heart racing moments are, knowing when to take off and cut your losses whether that’s unlooted enemies or whatever is important And early game If I kill someone’s and body is In a really obvious spot but Only if someone goes right past middle of road we’ll I might put a bomb or even a loot decoy or anything hidden there for guy chasing me to not be able to Avoid checking Only To give you that last impulsive kill trap opportunity where you slightly double back and if they strt going towards it til their discipline kicks in and they pop a caffeine and keep going ahead, those are the dude who will make yoy look like a puppy chew toy if you give them as much as a tough outline through some Shrubbery they’ll get you. Decoys might get a reaction but one quicker than it takes you to arm. Same with alarms or anything. A radiation ied might be not Thing that would work if those ugly suits actually worked lol. But sorry for Novel but I feel like while everything fist said is right sometimes It’s nice hearing it from Someone else kinda new who has only recently gotten Pretty confident. And Playing shootout til you win over 75% might sound like Torture but I’m reality it’s forcing you to fight and kill and hide and heal and rearm and repeat under worst of circumstances and I try not to just die instantly If I have a bad gun although with a good gun I’ll Be much more conservative but it will force Yoy to kill guys who spawn behind you and are lurking camping in Every corner but I’m an environment with nothing to loss where yoy aren’t having to like tactically clear your corners through every Structure til hidden tango is found and killed Instead you can move around at a moderate speed and force yourself to react after the fact to being shot at by campers that aren’t expecting your speed and therefore usually just hitting the deck and pivoting back into Crouch as your barrel reaches right alignment behind you or wherever they were with the proneing buying you cortical second or two since rheir mg dumb doesn’t allow for such small target and with yoy turning can’t get head until the moment you are already going to be killing them On side note I use a sawed off shotgun almost exclusively as the cqc weapon of choice when I will be the one to engage since i only have to hit war them just once and have two tries both of which I can get off before they can get off a single shot and worst case scenario which with anlittle practice is never unless laggin , you can just pop back into cover after you pop off two shots and dump whatever largest msg fastest firing gun you have is from the hip where since injured you only have to land 1-2 anywhere va then having to get a headshot puts you arbgeeat advatage even after blundering your tel chances at free kill with shotty. And since it fits into pistol a lot it’s just a no brainer. But anyways I’ll shutup. But jsut mememeber don’t think of it like any game with any goal you’ve ever had before Dictate your own means of success in advance and change before each session until you Get to where you have a clearly defined idea of success which for me personally is over 4,000 average loot value with minimum 1-2 kills and depending on spawn and how game goes I have to adapt playstyle to achieve that since that much loot is impossible just by going around to deserted points of interest in middle of nowhere and instead I have to loot routes that are also watching other routes and having alarm traps on rear so I put down a dragnet looking for people and as I collect data liek gunshots and stuff I close in but all while looting and doing my own thing and If my met starts getting real caught up around certain big loot areas that’s when I’ll start shaving off the edges like I would do working circle in pubg when I was in top 250 Solos and I am waiting for Someone to come out who is victories and then letting someone new go challenge them Etc etc all the while these guys are just consolidating all the best loot into one backpack and when I see opening where you can tell the victor is ready to head to the hills then I’ll just very simply just kill them in any number of moments of my Choosing when I feel if safest for me to get to them and disappear again off onto a different route towards an better exit if I’m past 4000 loot or to then start setting up exit dragnets where I can cover multiple exits or one large one but from far away and not let anyone through cracks. Keep in mind ports and armor and improvised bombs are only consumables I don’t have plans for so i have to manually do my Own ports but is more work but provides better data if done right and can even get remote low hanging fruit kills that yoy can collect like resource modules in shelter lol but only if you hear the right booms and no one will see those bodies But obviously with ports it becomes almost too easy and takes fun out of this process on both an offensive and defensive way. Although if you use disruptors than you can kinda tell what type of player uses them and if you catch a port in yours or let ‘em catch a fake signal in a port then it can Be a lot of fun to slowly yoy with them since only vets can afford to pop ports like soda cans. And it’s amazing moment when yours stalking and they’re like a deer that doesn’t know whether there’s a buffer waiting or a cougar and then when you’ve got em sheers yoy want them I get satisfaction watching their fight or flight response kick in and like those clips of Wild boars that realize intuitively but a milllisecond Too late and they start screaming and flaying their skin offf trying to get out when they’re only trapped but they’re a smart and worthy opponent and it’s only in their nature to try to kick before they lie down and die from The poison in the enclosure as you take the life from those m2e or all those super sweat fools and they realize they’ve been had and that their backs to the walls playstyle isn’t sustainable since it only takes one Guy with a brain and a fair amount of time in shootouts and elims to make quick work of them while the whole time they think they’re the ones in control lol . But that I jsut do for fun but I’d jsut proof that is this game is 100% brains vs brawn and you can’t play overly aggro or passive and be imo an elite player

@@JealousFist haha, I play and enjoy both - but for me, Fortnite is a lot more fun. Vigor is so slow to load, the customisation options are ugly. It has a sort of rough unfinished feel about it, but it's a nice change from the Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms once in a while.

All ya gotta do is keep playing and paying attention. Learn from your deaths and you WILL get better. I didn't make it out of the game alive for a week when I first started playing. No joke. I actually don't even think I knew the airdrop existed for a little longer than a week because I was dying so hard and so early. The game is frustrating in the beginning, and in the middle, and in the end, but it does get easier.

@GrahamTheGray materials are the currency that you use to make weapons. And consumables. When you're in your inventory highlight a weapon and then look at all the information that pops up in the bottom middle of the screen and you will see the materials cost. Materials are different than resources. Resources are the things like nails and glass and chemicals and fuel and electronics.
