Congrats! I remembered going camping at Port Austin at the Thumb and there was a river a mile from camp. I went do there and fished alone at midnight without a camera or light and landed a 55 inch Musky off of a 1960’s style block fish crank bait. It was a fight of a life. Unfortunately, while I was unhooking it, it wiggled and ripped my line and swam away. It’s a blessing in disguise because I originally was going to mount it on my wall. However, he’s in the wild for someone else to catch

@DurealzForReal Жыл бұрын
because the fishing you're talking about is not the reason those guys are fishing for bass. bass fishing is not all about the fight, its about catching consistent fish and big fish. takes years to master and is a specialized art in its own. musky fishing takes a lot to master as well but catching them is right person, right time, right area, and/or right bait. you're not fishing for multiple, you're often fishing for one. thousand casts it what its called because its true. sure you can have a 2-3 musky day but you can also go weeks, months without one.

@edisonschlenker72942 жыл бұрын
They can get a bit bigger than pike I think, but the main differences are that pike have 5 pores on the lower jaw where muskie have 6-9 and muskie have more pointed tails. Muskie have far more variations in their colour and patterns but their spots are always dark if they have them. Pike almost always have green backs and sides with light spots except for silver pike which are a mutant variation.

It was too big to reel in on my gear so i just backed up real quick until the fish came ashore lol. It measured out at 41 inches so not the biggest but still a pretty big boy.
