The #3 technique is called "hefesto hold" in Calisthenics world. If you're a newbie/intermediate, you'd want to do an "assisted" hefesto (using a resistance band with code colors green / blue / black to support your body weight). DON'T DO IT FIRST WITHOUT RESISTANCE BAND, you'd only hurt yourself (by falling down to the ground). The workout itself will definitely isolate your biceps, make it work harder than ever, and make it explode. It's a super technique. Try it 1 month consistently once a week and boom, your biceps start popping out than ever.

+Naked Banana You speak as if you can get out of your mess yourself. You can refocus and reroute all your attention elsewhere, but your mess won't be solved, it just gets hidden until the perfect cirucmstances come by for it to resurface. That mess is something God can take away and resolve. And he does it for me every time I deliver it to him.
@gonzothegreat13179 жыл бұрын
***** Yes, I agree! Solve your own mess. God doesn't do it for you. He also doesn't do pull ups. If you want something in life, you have to do it yourself. If you are smart you prioritise. Put improving yourself on number one of your list and you'll do fine. Because 1 you won't bother others for things you can and want to do yourself 2 you'll learn to know your limits, which makes you see the limits of others too. Basically you'll become less of a dick. Put sleeping on number two. No need to rush. Put failing on number 3, no progress without failing: it's true for muscle, it's true for relationships, it's true for all learning. When you enjoy failing, you'll soon become invincible. And if you have to follow one rule. Don't put yourself on another one's list. Unless you pay them.

Normal pull-ups help that much. You have to condition yourself and gradually go into them. For Instance, take away fingers on one side, or grab a rope and help yourself up with the other arm. (He has a video on it as well)
@ChuckNorris-ov9eg9 жыл бұрын
+Jim Giant I can't actually do a one arm pullup, but I would guess somewhere between 30-35 pullups will guarantee ability of a 1 arm pullup. 1st exercise - the difference between chin up & pull us - Pull ups use the Brachiallis muscle beneath the Biceps Brachii muscle. (Brachii means "of the arm") Brachiallis is called "the true elbow flexer". That's all it does regardless of the forearm's position. Pull ups have the forearms pronated, keeping the biceps brachii from fully engaging because one of its actions are supination of the forearm. (Pull up position) Biceps Brachii supinates the forearm, flexes the elboe, & flexes the shoulder. Building a big Brachiallis will make the Biceps Brachii look bigger because it's pushing up from underneath. If you flex the elbow & rotate your forearm between pronation and supination you can see Biceps Brachii engage & dis engage. Bi =2 ceps= heads brachii= of the arm. There's a 2 headed muscle on the femur as well. If you type the name of muscles in the search, there's great 3d graphic videos on here too. I'd recommend doing pull ups first, & then chin ups, because it will be more challenging for each.

I find bodyweight the best thing to use for nearly everything: Legs (pistol squats), abs, triceps, back, chest and shoulders. But in my opinion the best way to directly train biceps is using weights.

Chin ups are better for biceps than pull ups. Pull ups target more of your lats. And that last exercise "Bent arm back levers" don't even target your biceps at all unless you're continuously spinning like you suggested towards the end. Those levers target solely your triceps and parts of your delts.

Here's a fun challenge: find some bicep exercises that use no equipment at all, and see how effective you can make them. Man, that's a tricky one!

***** Not me. I can't find any. Besides pulling up on my legs while I push my legs down, or pitting one arm against the other. How about you?

***** The only thing I don't count as equipment is the ground and my body because both of them are always there! Dynamic tension is awesome. I've made some of the most interesting muscular discoveries that way.

you know military style pushups? Do similar to that, but with your hands flipped the other way(rotated 180 degrees)
