Jason reviews the top 3 features of his Kranman T1750 hydraulic timber trailer. Namely the hydraulic drive system, the hydraulic winch and the extend-a-boom. He cuts a load of firewood logs with his Husqvarna 550 XP Mark 2 chainsaw and then hauled it back to the yard with his Honda Foreman 500 ATV. Quite a challenge with the current snow conditions!

Another option that is really nice to have is the hydraulic draw bar swing for getting through the tight spots.

I've seen those on some other videos... I didn't get that option when I purchased my unit though. Take care, Jason.

That is a nice trailer Jason, I really like cutting in winter but deep snow will wear you out pretty fast, I'm getting ready to purchase a tractor skidding winch whiçh will aid in pulling tree's . Take care.

The last storm that we got has made it difficult in the woods. I'm down to cutting trail side so I don't have to wade too much. Thankfully Spring is almost here. Good exercise though!

Very Neat setup, I've looked at Kranman and other ATV log trailers for years, always thought about getting one for small scale salvage and firewood. Unfortunately still not quite in the cards for me. Thanks for the detailed video, cool to see more small channels starting out in this kind of subject matter. Good luck to you and stay safe.

Thanks for the note. I was surprised with how much work you can actually do with the trailer. Excellent for small scale forestry. Thanks for watching!

I like to see you take your wood down small. I go to the size of my wrist or a bit smaller. So many people leave all that in the woods. 👍

Thanks for the feedback. I have to separate out the small stuff now for can-wood or personal use. Most customers don't want the small stuff and "the customer is always right". I hate to leave it in the woods though!

I use a separate battery for the electric solenoids, otherwise, at least for me, the battery on the ATV will be empty very soon, after some time. I also use the extra battery for working led lights that I have mounted on the crane.

Great informational video, thanks for posting. For perspective, how much did you speed the video up during use of the boom? 1.5x-2x? I'm sure I'd do it too just to help keep the video moving along.
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’ll have to review that video, I don’t normally speed up crane operating clips???
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 2 жыл бұрын
Just checked, the video is showing normal speed. I also have the boom swing slowed down with a regulator valve to help smooth out the operation!
@wireedm1
@wireedm1 2 жыл бұрын
Okay, outstanding! It just seemed like small limbs, bark, etc., were falling and bouncing a an elevated speed of normal. Great job running the grapple and boom, you're very smooth on it!

My husband Julien has been watching you for several years however, we just subscribed a few days ago as I did not know how to do it before. Waiting for your notification. We find you interesting and knowledgeable. We are from Toronto, Ontario and own 60 acres of wooded land in Quebec. We are interested in buying an hydraulic trailer however, we are looking for a trailer with the same concept as the T1750 but a bit stronger crane and winch. . Do they have that? If so can I see a video of it. We also would like information about the winch on the hydraulic trailer. for example, it's capacity. Where can we get it? We appreciate your support and your shared knowledge about forestry equipment.

Hi, thanks for the feedback on our channel! There are lots of different options out there for hydraulic timber trailers but for micro forestry, I think I got lucky finding the Kranman. If you are interested in something with a bit more lifting capacity, I would suggest that you reach out to Jason Hart at Hant's Equipment in Nova Scotia. You can find their website on google and Jason is the sales rep that I dealt with there (jason@hantsequipment.com). As far as I know, Hant's is the only Kranman dealer in North America. He will be able to answer all of your questions on specifications (winch included). Thanks for subscribing; it really helps our little channel grow! Take care, Jason

Hi Jason. Love the channel and the videos. Im in Ontario doing similar work as you. i would like to get a small loader trailer. Would you suggest the kranmann? If so where did you get yours? I cant find a dealer in Ontario

Hi Rob, nothing but good things to say about Kranman. I’m sure there are similar products on the market but this seems to be well engineered. The only dealer in North America that I am aware of is Hant’s Equipment in Nova Scotia. Thanks for watching!

What size atv do you recommend? I’m thinking as big as possible?
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I would go with an ATV with the highest rated towing capacity. Anything over a 500 cc engine is powerful enough to haul the trailer full of wood but you should be sure the drive train is robust enough for the weight as well. Thanks for watching!
