Hauling firewood with ATV & hydraulic trailer

Some young forest maintenance has been done and there is stacks of firewood in the forest.
Lets organize yard a bit to accommodate ATV hauled wood loads!

That dolly is a smart substitute for a solid rear axle! Nice firewood, lot of heat in birch.

That trailers connecting weight on ball is just enermous... A lot of weight from the boom is on that head of the trailer. It compresses Polaris rear springs completely to bottom when trailer is empty and even takes all weight away from front wheels and ATV does not turn anymore. Dolly distributes weigt roughly 30% on ATV hitch ball and rest 70% on dolly wheels... It increases the grip on ATV rear wheels but is very difficult to reverse. It is compromise from everything but kind of makes it functional anyway compared to without dolly 🤐😆

@@JuhaErkkila yeah I bet it’s really hard to reverse. Good idea and solution to the problem with too much weight on the trailer ball.

Yes it turned around in just few days only! Winter was nice too so nothing to complain

5:56 why not put wheat or corn in your clutch/transmission. (so you will not waste the grinding but have GROUND CORNMEAL or FLOUR)

E-he e-he.. ;) But I have to admit that it was BAD shifting there and also colliding with the pallet too. Maybe some kind of driving school could be the answer!?
