This week I'll show you some of my "A" list lobster locations on the Gulf side of the Lower Keys. Plus I through in a few "C" list spots that your non lobstering friends and family will enjoy. Good hunting!
Keep in mind everywhere is a good lobster spot here in the Lower Keys, be adventurous and explore!

Thanks for the info man!! We are going to be vacationing out to the Keys and just happen to be there during the mini season! Gonna try and grab me one or two close to shore since I don’t have a boat! Any suggestions?

Thanks for watching - yes I've go suggestions: First, this is our video on my top 3 lobstering places to reach from shore: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqaaq2CfptiNqdk I've check all of these within the last 2 weeks and they had plenty of lobster in each area. Also, let me know which Key you're staying on and I might be able to suggest a few places close to where you may be staying. 75% of my lobster is from my SUP, there a so many great spots right in front our house I don't really need to use the boats.

@@lowerkeysliving that’s great news I was worried I would be at a major disadvantage not knowing where to go AND not having a boat! We are staying in Islamorada but are going to be moving up and down the keys so we are mobile and can travel to any good spot!

@@lowerkeyslivingDoes the 300ft limit from FWC regs only apply in some locations during the 2-day sport season and, sometimes for up to the first 10 days of regular season? Asked differently, can you lobster within 300ft of residential and commercial shoreline after the first 10 days of regular season, everywhere (and only have to stay out of sanctuary areas (away from shore))? I’ll look for the video you refer to. Posting a link to it would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

Sure makes me cringe to see someone ride on the front of a boat like that... one split second from severe injury or death..

We only allow it at idle speeds/low speeds when we are spotting lobster. We never do it a high speed and certainly never in any type of choppy water.

There are literally hundreds of great lobstering spots, these are just a few. My goal here is to give people visiting for a short time an opportunity for success. But, I always encourage people to explore and search for their "own" spots. Thanks for watching.
