This is really useful information for not only lawn care but anyone starting their own business. These are real issues most people don’t think about or even know. I’m with you. I’m 54 and wish I would have done a few things different in my younger days. A divorce will sure ding up your bankroll. It’s cheaper to keep em unless you got one that’s just got to go. I learn all kind of stuff on this channel. Didn’t think I’d hear this information though but you are 100% correct. Have a blessed 2024.

You also need to make sure you specify where you store your equipment with the insurance company so they will cover any losses. I remember seeing a video where a solo company stored the equipment at a storage unit and it was stolen, but his insurance was for home. The insurance company did not cover his losses.

I have General Commercial Insurance through Hiscox and this year, they raised my rate by around 25% (no claims, no additional equipment).

Most guys get an LLC . I personally haven’t went that far because I just don’t have a large amount of business since I went social media. That’s something I’d look into. The problem with starting out is most don’t make enough money to pay for all the protections 🤷🏾‍♂️

Tree cutting insurance a lot of guys think that just having a policy will cover them cutting trees they need to check into that because it doesn't that's an extra insurance
