Thanks, Rich. Nice review from a nice guy. I have the cabrio version of this. It is such a unique car - you correctly mentioned the dual personality, but unless someone has ridden in one, it is impossible to grasp. The car is S Class smooth in daily comfort driving, but once you switch to sport mode, it is a raucous beast. I have owned Ferraris, Porsches, you name it, but nothing has ever had this ability to be so refined and elegant, or so incredibly visceral and aggressive. My cabrio is extremely heavy at 4,800 lbs, so this is definately a GT, not a pure sports car. But the acceleration and handling absolutely defy the heft of the car. And as long as your friends aren't all 6'6" super tall guys, you can have the front seat forward without jamming the front seat passenger's legs or the rear seat's. I don't drive mine daily - it is a fair weather beast. But for someone like me who isn't going to track the car and wants to have the occasional spirited driving moments while generally driving super chill, wow, this is quite a thing. Also, I don't experience the issue between the touch pad and rotor, so maybe that can be addressed in the car's settings: I always rest my hand on the pad but always use the rotory knob. Anyway, great review - thanks!

Wow - thank you very much for your nice comments, much appreciated. I'm sure the cabrio must be quite pleasant, especially if you get to hear more of that amazing AMG exhaust note! It's unfortunate that MB discontinued the S63/65 Coupe and Cabrio. I'd love to see an updated version of that, but sadly emissions and the general market probably doesn't make it a viable business products (from the MB bean counters' perspectives).

@edmundcharles5278 Its not they wouldn't but 2 parameters make it very hard to ever come back: - S63 coupe existence gives hard hits to other models and the why should ones buy thenm - Cost! It costed too much to produce. And if you want to sell it you have no choice but to sell it at loss from Mercedes perspective.

The dislikes you pointed out were noteworthy and that I had never seen or heard about in any other reviews of this beautiful car. The legroom for the back seats of this big coupe could be better! Thanks a lot for the good reviews.

Thanks for watching! Yes, that was based on my experience with it during the 10 days I had it. It's still a phenomenal luxury grand tourer.

Great question! AMG is more powerful, more luxurious and has more tech. Has more of a dual personality than the LC and very torquey engine. The LC has more soul (more visceral believe it or not), sportier drive and better design (inside and out). I'd say the LC handles a little better, but is no match for the AMG's power. They're both phenomenal vehicles though.

I'm thinking to replace my LC with this SL63, do you think it is a good decision?

Do you mean this S63? The SL is a different vehicle. They don't produce this anymore, so if you go for the S63, you'd have to go in the 2nd hand market. This is way more luxurious than the LC, and it has more features and more technology compared to the LC. I find the LC sounds, looks, and drives better, tho. See if you can test it out before you make the decision, tho.

For the size of the car it's either you have a huge rear space and small boot space or a huge boot and a tight rear passenger space, i don't think you can have both
