love what brandy and Monica gave to this song, and i love that ariana continues to pay homage to the legends!!! i will say tho the lyrics of this song are from the original ariana version (except the last verse) so ima have to give ariana her bars props!! 😭

That’s Monica singing the triplet beat part on the bridge. Also notice how they brought the beat in from the 1998 version on the second part of the bridge! 🔥🔥🔥

That’s Brandy harmonizing with Ariana at the beginning. Not Monica. People really can’t tell them apart. lol Brandy’s voice is distinct.

In the first pre-chorus before the chorus is Ariana and Brandy. Brandy is singing the low notes. Then, the second verse with the pre-chorus is Ariana and Monica. Brandy hits all those runs. Brandy has a distinctive voice. You really have to really listen to it. Brandy is known for her background vocals and also layering harmonies with her vocals. At the same time, these three women did a damn good job.

Yes same was born in 82 absolute best time to grow up musically,Such a variety,of great music so much talent& just being a kid before tiny screens,from Cell phones and tablets took over we actuallt played outside and knew to be in before the street light came on,we weren't on phones all day playing games.MTV actually played music too!.. Miss those days ! Music like this has a Nostalgic feeling to it.Brandy was my favorite RnB singer in the 90'S.Her and Mary J.

OMG!!! The vocals!!! That bridge is a masterpiece tho!! Ariana holding down those soprano notes, Brandy's runs/background vocals and MONICA's ad libs are unmatched!!! P.s l've always loved the clarity in Monica's voice! She has amazing pronunciation while still maintaining that soulfulness to her voice! This was beyond amazing! Ariana is coming thru with all of the greats!! 🙌🏽🐐👑

Right it's kinda weird considering all the time each of them have put into the industry and there craft. We have plenty of sample data to pull from To me they don't sound enough alike to mistake each other for each other but there both talented

How can you understand the entirety of a song if you’re pausing after every 5 words.. this is why we have the power of editing! Play the song fully with a few pauses and edit the video so you don’t get flagged for KZbin. Simple as that
