I think what stands out for me is that unlike other artists where they release an album because it’s been a year or two from the last one so you need to release something, Ariana released eternal sunshine because she wanted to say something. She didn’t need to release any music because she has a lot of other stuff in her life already but she wanted to release it so it feels so genuine and real. I think that’s made her into a different type of artist where she doesn’t need to prove something, she already knows what to do and how it works and that’s why she can release unique and new stuff. She’s almost in the level of Beyoncé in that way where she has become legendary so she knows that she can experiment and she has already figured out what works best for her and she delivered a cohesive album that moves you

6:14 (Don't Wanna Break Up Again) So the way I interpreted what she meant by "situationship" is this is what the relationship turned into and ended in. At first the relationship was going really well and it ended up in marriage. By the end of their relationship being together (after having miscommunications/problems), a "situationship" was all that was left. Like they only keep each other around for certain things and the love they used to have from the beginning isn't there anymore; he changed, and she decides she has to make the decision to leave.

I think Ordinary Things is a perfect outro: it's a concluding daydream tethered to wisdom, where she finds closure with reflecting and contemplating what healthy romantic love should look like. And we as people have such a tendency to overcomplicate things to force things to work that shouldn't sometimes, and Nonna reminds us to go back to basics - if you can't easily resolve conflict and kiss each other goodnight, that speaks volumes as to how good it really is.
