I've lived 3 years in Seattle from Atlanta and black culture is severely lacking. Can often get quite depressing. There's good things like the high paying jobs in certain fields and the natural beauty, but get ready to deal with low key racist vibes that are very hard to pinpoint.

jerrij4242 Yes! As people of color unfortunately we can’t just move anywhere because certain environments may not be as ideal for us. I actually made the move out here the day after Christmas so I’m actually on the West coast now! If anything you should definitely come and visit and see how you like the vibe. :)

I currently live in sac & Seattle is expensive but it’s low key no different than Sacramento as far as housing. If you want a decent place in a nice area, you’re looking at about 1700-2500 which seems to be the same in both places.

Seattle prices jumped because a lot of people from CA have moved there for past few years. Seattle is not inexpensive at all. For people from the East Coast and South, you'll be fine with the rain on Seattle because the rain will be light compared. About Northface, if you knew the culture of that company, you'd drop mentioning the brand.

Love the fresh air, lushness and bomb tap water of the PNW.
