Top 3 Tips Towing 10k Trailer 2500 RAM

I have a 2017 2500 Bighorn 4x4 with the 6.4 Hemi and I pull (semi full time) a 36' (9700-10,000 lb) Travel trailer for work as I am a field manager for my company. My fuel mileage is a bit worse but I went gas over diesel for two reasons....1 I travel 33K-45K a year in the North west (mountains and deserts) and fuel cost is a big difference as I only get 20 cents a mile from my company. 2 At 70 mph, when I hit a grade I do not loose and horsepower and pass every truck, big or small, pulling anything and might loose 5 mph on grades over 5%.

i have a 2019 ram 2500 with over a half million all hwy miles from pulling campers all over the us to dealerships now mine is del because the def was giving me problems all in all my truck has been great

Telling anyone that their transmission will get to 800 degrees is throwing some red flags…your truck would be dead well before 800 degrees. You shouldn’t be exceeding 225-235 while towing.

I just bought a 2019 Ram 2500 cummins (Haven't hooked it up to my travel trailer yet)....Does your truck display in the instrument cluster that a trailer is connected? My 2019 which had blind spot (which I miss) would let me know when I had a trailer connected.

Approximately? It's on the sticker on the door. Also no it's not 4480#. Unless you have a single cab long bed tradesman with a gas hemi motor in it. Also there is no manual mode on the exhaust brake. There's full (anytime you're not on the accelerator) and auto (only when braking) Keep making videos man, just research it first. I'm glad some ppl caught that transmission temp stuff.
