We appreciate all the support and suggestions. I want to take a minute to give credit to the BIG BUD engineers for designing such strong frames throughout their tractor series. We could not fabricate one of these tractors from scratch. It takes years of experience and enormous metal working tools. Time will tell if our farmerized modifications to this BUD will be a success or a major fail. 😅
@died4us590Күн бұрын
They sure did make these Big Bud's hefty, nothing made like it today. You guy's do some great fabrication, and your work has been good to go on past project's, so i see this going just fine, plus you have faith, and faith brings good guidance from He who dwells in us. I love watching you do these winter builds, and i love old iron built in the USA, being revived and used. I also love seeing you guy's work with your dad, he has raised some fine young men. G-d bless everyone.

Once again reminding myself that farmers are some of the smartest people around. This is my favorite video series going on KZbin right now!
@danielseelye6005Күн бұрын
I always go back to the Ontos, aka The Thing: That time US Marines and the farmers joined in Grunts and Crafts...and stuck 6 recoilless rifles on a medium tank with 6 M2s as "sighting guns". Well that or when John Deere up armored their tractors for WW2. The Fat Electrician did great videos on those.
@crazydutchbloke10 сағат бұрын
Nothing to do with being smart, I worked with a farmer that was a Professor of agriculture on the University, Quit his job so he could milk 750 sheep, and couldn't get his company of the ground. When i joined, he farmed for 5 years and he never used a grease gun or even knew how to fill one. His machines were all in disrepair and out of service so he was feeding by hand. Its not so much about being smart, Its more by just doing it and learn from your mistakes. (Like those mistakes that can involve breaking your arm).

I’m really enjoying this Bud rebuild. It’s great how you’re taking something that was considered junk and making it usable again. I especially like the idea that you can do your own repairs and not an authorized dealer like what those guys are dealing with their new John Deere equipment. This tractor will do all the functions and get the job done. And the best thing, no government juice. Looking forward to seeing it in operation this spring.

I can’t believe you haven’t hit a million subs yet. Zach Johnson promised he’d take Anna(his German Shepard) for a tractor ride, which he did when he hit a million. Coby practically drives a Big Bud, that alone should get you a million….but I’m biased.😂 With all the complex fabrications on top of the farming in big sky country, you should have 2 million

Hope you took into consideration the flex of a tire that size and the rotational mass in the center of the tread. You may want to put that other plate back in and have that 2" lift better to be on the safe side.

The wider gap on top of the fender well needed as the weight of the tractor settles down onto the tire. I would maintain that gap on top for the new tires.

This tractor rebuild is epic. This is way better then watching someone do a will it start video on an old car just to leave the car sit there. The advantage to rebuilding this monster on your own is you guys will know every inch of this bad boy front to back. I'd suggest the name phoenix because this baby is rising from the ashes but idk if that's a good big bud name lol, Big Phoenix lol . Merry Christmas everyone and God bless us, everyone. 🎅 🤶 🎄 And I'd be willing to bet that this rebuild will be the envy of farmers across the country. Not anywhere near a epic fail.
