In this video I talk about the top 3 types of cheap silver that you should avoid when silver stacking. When you star silver stacking it is important that you try to buy silver for the lowest dollar amount possible with a few exceptions. I go over the 3 worst types of silver for stacking and also the best type of silver for stacking. Any silver that is priced under spot online is probably fake silver and should be avoided. Silver that is less than 90% pure should be avoided. Large silver bars should be avoided when you start silver stacking. The best silver is 1 oz silver coins and 1 oz silver rounds. I think that larger silver bars should be avoided until you have a large silver stack. There are many types of silver bullion and the worst type is clearly fake silver coins and fake silver bars. In this video I show a clip from a recent Harry's Coin Shop Video where this bullion dealer talks about the worst silver for stacking and here is that video:

Good point, you're correct. Also, I'd disagree with Silver Dragons on buying silver 1 oz. at a time, as premiums for a single ounce are likewise too high. Save up and buy 10 troy ounces at a time (either one10 ounce bar or ten 1 ounce pieces. More reasonable premiums.)

1000 ASE's will cost more than a 1000oz bar though. But it allows you to sell small increments as you need the money, rather than all at once. The alternative is to buy something in between. Like 1kg bars or 10oz bars as well as some 1oz bars or coins. I wouldn't buy a 1,000oz bar, because it would be too hard to sell if you needed the money.

I was on the fence for years on war nickels. I never pulled the trigger on them. Then I watched that whole video with our friend Harry. He taught us the refiners don't like them because of the other 60% metals make it too much to bother with. So now I'm a no thanks on war nickels. As for the 100oz bars, that actually plays into my hand. A lot of my stack is actually a savings account. I'm really bad with money. If I have it, it will get spent. So my converting it to silver, I have that extra step to liquidate it. That gives me time to make sure it's something I really want to do. But 10oz bars is my go to as it meets both needs.

Sorry Silver Dragons, I have to disagree. The same person who needs convincing that a 1967 Kennedy half is 40% silver will also need convincing that you generic silver round is a real 999 silver round. As you showed in the under-spot segment, just because it says 999 doesn't make it so. A sophisticated customer will be able to tell if your round is real but they will also know that the 1967 Kennedy half is 40% silver. Sovereign coinage is better, constitutional silver is best.

Except? A _real_ .999 round has a unique sound when tapped against something hard, such as another round. You give me 25 rounds, with 50% being fake? And I'll sort them out in less than 10 minutes with nothing more than another silver round to tap them on. People who are taking silver rounds in barter will learn this trick quickly, so I don't see a problem with stacking all kinds of .999 rounds. *But I agree that constitutional silver is best. The war nickels are the only nickels with oversized mint mark. Non silver Philadelphia nickels had no mint mark. War nickels had a large P ,D or S OVER Monticello. This is how you can tell silver They have almost as much silver as a pre-64 dime as they weigh 5 grams vs. 2.5 grams for a dime, or 2.25 ounces (a bit over 1/20th ozt per coin) silver per 40 count roll. If you do not think silver will ever go over 50-60/ozt, then don't buy these. Otherwise they would make great change for purchases made with whole ounces. I bought my 20 rolls nickels for about 35 each 3 years ago. Thats 45 ozt. for about 700 dollars or about 15 dollars per ounce.

I just made 20 grand profit on "1,000 oz" good delivery bars. I buy them from silver bullion in Singapore and store them there, because I diversify political risk of the US government. There is zero problems selling these bars back and they are what is in demand when you talk about industrial demand of silver. No industry wants your 1 oz rounds or coins or 1 oz bars for industrial use. So for the industrial demand component and for the low premium, they make a lot of sense, especially stored outside your country. But I'm not using these as a form of money and I have several thousand ounces in various forms. No, I wouldn't recommend starting with these until you had multiple thousands of ounces stacked up. I started with 1 oz bars and went to eagles and maple leafs stored in their legal tender country, but after that, the premium got stupid on those coins. I have 100 oz bars and I like kilos. The thousand oz bars i am not keeping long term. I sell them to take a profit and reduce the average cost of my total holdings and years of storage fees.

I laugh hysterically when I hear people think they will barter with silver shot. Hahahhahahaha omg hilarious. Try proving your bb is silver to someone hahahahahaha in a barter situation. You could barely convince me its silver now and if bartering no one gonna have a machine to test. Plus we will never barter with silver ever again. George gammon of rebel capatalist show keeps going all thru central America to try to barter his way across with gold, silver and bitcoin. Basically he is S.O.L. sold gold at a major discount and barely could barter with silver. That being Saud I have over $400 face value of junk. But in no way do I think I'll barter much with it. Dollar bills will be king in that world. Especially if we lose power before dollar hyperinflates. Everyone will believe in a dollar bill.

Besides, you're going to watch one guy go to Central America one time and then figure that you'll never ever use silver to barter ever again? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If I tried to barter with a giant trash bag of sandals, I won't get too far. They won't have the proper channels to offload the sandals and no one really cares. What happens when the price of sandals goes to 500 dollars a pair? I think they'll find a way to move them. I stacked back during the GFC. That being said I do have around $400 fv of junk but seriously doubt most will ever be able to barter. In my area lots of farmers and ranchers who know what silver is. I started stacking in the early 90s and I have over 700 40% Kennedy half dollars that I’ve accumulated between the early and mid-90s. I would go to my local bank and get $50 worth here and there took out the 40% and spent the rest as regular cash so it literally cost me nothing to accumulate all of that silver. That’s the best way to get silver is when it costs you nothing except a little bit of time and energy. Back then the spot price of silver was hovering around $5 an ounce. So, if silver ever does go to $50 or more, then 60% of that won’t be so bad. My local refinery is paying 80% of spot on those 40%ers.

After watching this channel and BGM on KZbin I've been fortunate enough to convert the some cash a stocks in my Superannuation portfolio. The increases in that time has already made it a very profitable move. And at the end of the day I look at it as a great way to hedge my Super for the crash I think is coming in the next couple of years. If it's certified 99.99 we can trade any amount here under the tax office radar. No declaration, no capital gains, cash in hand every time.

SD, I have stacked HARD in the 3 years I have been awake. I have made videos on this and most Recently with Local Silver Mint. Please see that video. I had no experience with metals initially but I knew I needed to barter/trade. I bought small fractional. I also followed some of your earlier videos suggesting getting 40% and 35% silver. They are not a big part but if I need to buy smaller priced items in SHTF, I have them (basically a guard house box of each - that's it). I am trying to get 4 family members out of Ukraine. So I am back to another guardhouse box of 90% dimes. PLUS 999 1/10 ounce incase to buy food etc. Slowly I bought bigger and bigger silver. I did buy ONE 100 oz bar at $2450 but sold it later at $3150 and bought 1 oz gold buffalo and $1000 fiat of 90%dimes. My advise, buy fractional first to build up your small buying power and when you think you have enough, get bigger for bigger purchases. Same with Gold.

I disagree about not buying 40%. Your goal isn't to use silver for your kid's college fund or even the bulk of your retirement. The real goal is to protect against a currency reset. At that point in time, the cost of refining your silver will be negligible to the value of silver. So, your goal is to buy as many ounces of actual silver as possible. And thus the lower the premium the better.
