Thanks for the compilation above, WatchMojo. At 21:43 (No. 5, that is), the 2006 Soccer World Cup final between Italy and France, that is, and the headbutt by France's Zinedine Zidane on Italy's Marco Materazzi, one version of the incident has it that Marco Materazzi pulled on Zinedine Zidane shirt when a free kick was being taken, and when the referee was not looking. Zidane responded by asking Materazzi whether, he, Materazzi, desired his shirt that badly. Materazzi responded to Zidane by telling Zidane, that no, he did desire Zidane's shirt, that what he actually desired was Zidane's sister. It was then that Zidane turned round and headbutted Materazzi on his chest. The verbal exchange was said to have been in Italian, Italian Zidane learnt when he played in the Italian Soccer League known as "Serie A." Regards, Michael M. Football is pathetic now compared to what it was. The players now are just pathetic little girls who genuinely can't take a tackle...it's embarrassing. I would honestly hate myself if I was one of those small framed, small minded little girls, even with the insane amount of money per game. As a gardener, I can tell you that pansies are stronger (they actually are...they can withstand snow and frost... imagine a snowflake landed on a footballer, they'd fall to the ground holding there legs crying in agony)

Hitting, punching, kicking, headbutts, even biting .. it can all be considered poor sportsmanship and fines and suspensions are a part of those. But any "athlete" that chooses to spit at someone else should be kicked out of the league, fined, and slapped by his/her own mother in public. That's beyond gross and disrespectful.

While exiting, he went too fast to stay on the lead lap, forcing him to make another stop, but no tires or fuel would be taken. This is a (Stop-And-Go/Pass-Through Penalty). During the penalty, Kyle Busch gave an obscene gesture to a race official, and he would have to be held another lap for the gesture.

My suggestion happened during the 1912(?) MLB season. Hall of Famer Ty Cobb attacked a heckler in the stands who happened to have only one leg. The consequences of the attack initially was a complete ban for the rest of the season. His team...Detroit Tigers...was going to forfeit every game until their teammate was reinstated. The league threatened to install a substantial fine for every game they didn't play. Eventually, the league gave in and reinstated Cobb.

Here's a disrespectful moment from motorsport. In a NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol in August 1999, Terry Labonte took the lead from Dale Earnhardt going into the last lap. Byt rather than try and repass Labante cleanly, Earnhardt instead spun out Labonte in front of the field. Earnhardt went on to win, Labonte limped home 8th. Not only was Labonte understandably livid with Earnhardt, but so was the 140,000 people in the crowd, who showered Earnhardt with a chorus of boos. All Earnhardt could do in response was to sheepishly say thay he tried to rattle Labonte's cage, not meaning to spin him out. Despite the display of disrespect, and the overwhelming amount of negative responses from the crowd, Earnhardt wasn't penalised by NASCAR

The black socks is an example of how you should always at least pay your players a decent wage. It's noted that at the time, they weren't paid a lot even for professional athletes and couldn't even be traded to other teams. Although I have no clue how much they would have made back then, that sort of a way to stick it to the owner. It's not the best way, but it at least add a small bit of justification despite it not being a good thing.
