I learned a couple of tricks when I managed a sample room in the garment district. Double the thread before putting it thru the eye of the needle. No frayed edges. To speed up sewing on buttons, double the thread as above, but pull both cut ends and the looped end together, and knot. That way, you have four strands at once, rather than just two, so sewing on buttons takes half the time.

@@LindaHome68 As a subscriber I can go back through your archives and try to find a particular tip but your title often don't make that easy. Instead, I add any vid with a tip I can use to my own Library which, again, because of your titles, is still difficult to find any particular one of many in a vid, but at least I know I saved it for a reason, rather than hunting through *your* much larger collection. Compilations are a good idea if they're titled so that we know what's in them and, compile similar tips in the same compilation, rather than all mixed together and, if there are more than 10, break them into Part 1, Part 2, etc. You've got a lot of good tips. Some I've already thought of or have learned, others I just don't have a need for but, as I mentioned earlier, I save to my own library those I can use. BTW, unless you've done it already, the mesh bags that produce comes in (onions, oranges, grapefruits,etc.) can be rolled up, compressed and stuffed into each other to use as dish or pot scrubbers. I've seen them on grocery store shelves - looks like the same material to me - one last use before they hit the landfill or, unfortunately, a stream, lake, river or ocean.🚣‍♂️🛳🚣‍♀️🚢🏖🏝🏞🌍🌎🌏🗺

Oh my goodness you not kidding!! I store my plastic store bags in a white kitchen garbage bag. Stuffed full and taking up space standing in the corner of my closet in my apartment, taking up valuable space. I use them for garbage, by lining a little plastic waste basket from Dollar 🌲 Tree. But no more!! Oh I am so glad to have some extra space in this old lady 's closet. My goodness those little triangles could fit in a drawer!! Maybe I will keep them together in a little ziplock or something, but, my goodness, Cecelia Smith is definitely a fan of Ms. Home.

Para enhebrar 1 aguja yo le colocaba cinta Scotch al hilo y lo cortaba en diagonal así podía introducir la punta en el agujero de la aguja pero tú ENHEBRADOR ES SÚPER GENIAL El reemplazo para la traba del zip (cierre), #12 yo utilizo un clip de escritorio, los mismos que utilizaste para hacer señaladores en el #1 En cuanto al W40 para eliminar insectos, mañana lo pruebo y te cuento si es verdaderamente útil o es un fiasco. Las hormigas han decorado todas mis plantas de las ventanas y patio 😢 Gracias x compartir estás ideas, algunas me parecieron súper y otras no tanto o nada. Number 12 is unnecessary - fold thread over needle to make a crisp edge, then thread the crisp eadge easily into the eye of the needle. Works for sewing thread through to thick yarns. Number 13 & 15 is called Ladder Stitch.
