Hell yeah!! My forever answer to the question ”who’s one of your favourite wrestlers that nobody ever talks about”. The dadbod submission master, with a top three German Suplex (next to Vader and Takayama). It’s so cool to see somebody finally make a top moves list for Honda! Usually it’s just me and early 2000’s Budokan Hall who care about Honda lol (but boy did Budokan love Honda there for a bit) Thanks again for taking my suggestion, dude. You did an awesome job on this one; it’s a real tricky one to make with all of his different Rolling Olympic Hell variants to make sense of. Hopefully this vid will get more people to check out Honda matches, or at least his classics vs Kobashi and Akiyama.

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed. I will most likely be putting out a Dead End collection here sometime soon. I had more fun making this video then I have in a while dude. It gave me a challenge, and I love to push myself to learn. Honda is a hidden gem that even a casual fan can enjoy, with the amount of energy and character he brings to the ring. Thanks for the suggestion!

P.S. How good was his Backdrop Suplex? Approaching Kawada/Dr. Death Territory I'd say.

@@ThunderFilez It’s really solid, just outshined by his German since it’s his finish and therefore always got the biggest reaction. When it comes to Noah, I’m always partial to Morishima’s Backdrop. Especially when he was up against Juniors, as he always put a little extra stank on it when clobbering guys smaller than him. Which was basically 90% of his ROH Champion run

@@CrossfacePanda Every time Morishima was in the ring with KENTA, it was rag doll city. I loved that shit.

Yay! Another person discovering the middle aged glory that is Tamon Honda
Great video man, never followed Japanese wrestling much so it's cool to see videos like this. Love the obscure videos like this, Nemesis, Ronin etc. The Deadlift Suplex is sweet, reminds me of Daisuke Sekimoto.

Thanks bud, glad you like it! I'll prob be doing some of those SoCal guys again soon. Super Dragon is coming first.

@@ThunderFilez Sounds good man, keep up the sweet content!
Tbh not initially familiar with Honda-San's work. But a wonderful Combination, of technique and leverage, creative Submissions, Brute power and the good 'ol' concrete-slab-stiff strong style. Not to mention a couple of very effective looking 'break-glass' dead ends. Most excellent profile vid. Very educational. Much love to you, for your hard work.

Rolling Olympic Hell 1 and 0 are best finisher I ever see. I mean ROH 1 can be suplex variation while locking around opponent neck, it can be devastating
Austin Aries: I do the best Arm-Triangle choke Edge: No, I do the best Arm-Triangle choke Tamon Honda: Amateurs.. Both: What did you say?!? Honda: AMATEURS!

@ThunderFilez3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can probably do one down the road a bit. Got some projects I'm working on.
Is the Rolling Olympic Hell 6 a Last Chancery? I looked at Honda's Pro Wrestling Wiki page, and it says that it's a "Bridging Arm Triangle Choke"
@ThunderFilez3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the whole Olympic Hell series is a bit of a blur. The only reason I know a few in this list are because Honda did a few on a reporter as an example. If you look at the entry dates on wiki, the descriptions of each Olympic Hell change over the years. I think Honda only knows for sure and doesn't do much media.
@ThunderFilez3 жыл бұрын
And to add, I clipped theough nearly 100 matches for this video, and never saw him do a Last Chancery. Almost never even saw him bridge.

This is a really late response but the Rolling Olympic Hell 6 is probably a Three Quarter Nelson.

There will be more. Japanese lists are just harder dude. The footage is generally harder to obtain, and over half the stuff available was shown on copyright heavy TV stations that strike down KZbin channels. I have some ideas for the future.
