I feel Kong could be number 1 if he was fighting with "The Rox" who seem to be about as threatening as Roger. But who knows for sure, dude has 3 panels of screentime lol. Not really, while Lava melts Ice, Ice cools down Lava, creating a stalemate. Ice becomes water, and lava becomes rock, both defeating the other. Either way the fact that no one in-story has questionned Kuzan being actually stronger leads me to believe Oda is going for Ice=Lava rather than Lava>Ice. Yeah, but it might've been more complicated than that. All in all we'll have to wait for a flashback mini-arc. Maybe soon with Kaido & Linlin. Yeah, normally, but it's One Piece & Kuzan can transform people into ice-cubes in 3 seconds, so eh. I'd say Akainu is defo portrayed as the Strongest Admiral regardless, so I'd go with that, but I can see why people would say otherwise. Yeah, I got Imu as the strongest. Besides, just because Akainu has an advantage type-wise doesn't mean he'll win easily, if we just base on magma > ice then Akainu should've won in just two days, but Aokiji definitely has something in his arsenal which allows him to be on even side with Akainu hence they reach such a long day of fight. If ever, the reason Akainu is powerful because his DF is said to "have the most powerful offensive attack", Oda said it himself. Aokiji didn't lost because of type disadvantage obviously.

Well, he has feats to back it up, he clashed with Roger in his prime which means he's at least as strong as Whitebeard if both of them rivaled the Pirate King, and Garp is also maybe the reason for the defeat of Rox, a very powerful pirate group which implied that Kaido and Big Mom used to be a member of.

Well, in his prime, he fought the Pirate King many times, Roger, who is without a doubt, at least a bit stronger than Whitebeard. Not too mention, Garp was heavily involved with the Rox Pirates, the crew that exists before Roger, and Big Mom and Kaido was heavily implied to be both member of that crew sometimes in the past.
