Even more ridiculous is that example with Slauson Malone who got an 8 because "he is enigmatic" while Standing on the Corner got 5 because "it's hard to listen to". Those tracks were literally produced by the same person. Production style on those projects is not that different

Felt the same way, bad songs you can hear 10 seconds and get what's wrong immediately, a great song you actually have to sit down and dive into, most of the songs here Brad just gave some offhand "it's fine" which isn't exactly compelling imo

42:30 Jesus man, that description of "By The TIme I Get To Pheonix" is so so perfect i never thought about it like that before, the glitchy songs are wreckage and sparks of Groggs passing. That interpretation is literally a 10/10, just like the album itself. One of the most devastating albums of the decade. I always know I'm in the lowest place when I start listen to "Knees" on repeat. Cannot describe how much i love it.

@TwoyBwoy I'm definitely happy he added that in and people could search it. I just think it would be easier to just click on the link and be sent straight to the vid. Even if someone were to click on it and then leave shortly after, it would still count as a view. I also know some people (myself included) who like to click on videos with the most views/the larger channel so people may not go to the OG vid.

Honestly not sure if this video works as well as the previous, with bad songs you can get a taste and overall get why they're there, but with a lot of the tracks here Brad doesn't know them and he can't really get the full scope from just 10 seconds clips so they either have to be attention grabbing or something he knows by heart. Also Brad needs to be put down for that Nujabes take, absolutely insane. I'll say though I agree with him on most of the tracks near the top 100, all absolute classics.

I really do agree with what he was saying about some of the picks that seem odd being things you might need to check out more. I fucking love stepfather factory and was very happy to see it so high but can absolutely understand giving it a 7 from a small snippet because that song is just so hard to capture in a small snippet. It makes me wonder if there’s songs I’d love buried past some of the things that didn’t seem amazing to me and makes me want to check out the stuff I don’t know more

Video creator here: JMT is SUPER trigger happy when it comes to handing out copyright blocks. I actually tried speeding up the regular version of the song and cutting it where RA says “able and willin’” but the vid still got blocked! YT is very unfair in that they sometimes won’t show if it’s an auditorial or visual reason for the block so I played it safe and just went with the instrumental and the album cover

Dude the stage album is so worth reacting to. Seeing how you reacted to life is but a dream and how you were introduced to them through their sellout album, hail to the king, it would be very interesting to see your take on what I think is their better and intriguing albums that has elements of libads existentialism, but still grounded with very real themes like futility under a nuclear Holocaust, the creation of ai and what that would mean for us, and a man’s corruption under the spotlight in their title track. Also I’m sure legoshi would love it and we love legoshi

You should really check out R.A. the Rugged Man's latest project. All My Heroes Are Dead is a damn good album with some insane features (Ghostface Killah, Kool G Rap, Inspectah Deck, Brand Nubian, Immortal Technique, Chuck D and many more), but he just cannot pierce through into any larger scene since he remains an enfant terrible of the rap scene.
