Nairo this year has won Shots Fired 2, Momocon, Lvl Up, KTAR XVIII and EGLX. This year, he has wins over Dabuz, Larry Lurr, Mr R, Marss, Tweek and multiple times over Ally and M2k. Most of those are from recent months. He has very low performances such as Pound and KTAR (where he bustered out with Bayo), but overall this has been a better year for him than most other top players. Zero has an argument for being better than Nairo because of their set at GOML but Ranai has been on a hiatus for a very long time and besides Genesis he got 7th at Niconico, and 9th in both Shots Fired 2 and KSB, without no notable wins over anyone. Abadango has more top player losses and low performances than Nairo in this year including 9th at both the Umeburas that he attended, 49th at Genesis 3, only Pound 2016 (and maybe Niconico) as a big win, granted it was a HUGE win and I love Aba's mewtwo, and sets down against many top players (Mr R, 9B, Zinoto, Zero) while Nairo usually only loses either to mid level players (Abadango does too) or to Zero and the mexicans (I think he also lost a set against Ally but they've played too many times and Nairo still usually beats him). Leo is without a doubt top 10 in the world but claiming he's better than Nairo just because of a set while leaving the whole year's results besides is an exaggeration. Dabuz may have an edge over Nairo but he took a long break this year because of his studies and Marss only has his Pound placing and a 0-6 loss against Mr R at Super Smash on the Hill. TLDR: Nairo has better results than most top players this year. I understand that he doesn't feel as the second strongest player in the world, sometimes that happens to me too. But then he has tournaments like KTAR a week ago where he obliterated Dabuz and well... The guy objectively still deserves 2nd seed and no top players are questioning that. Only randoms like us. He doesn't have a strong showing at most nationals unlike last year where he and Zero were without a doubt the top 2 players but if you follow the scene, no one else does.
