Learning more about her. Her key is when to use each stance. The combining of moves kick and punch eats a lot of your opponent health. Gotta remember which moves track because people side step her a lot. lol

So many people were saying the reveal of Heihachi killed the Lidia hype, well 90% of my ranked matches over the past week have been against Lidia. Even when Eddie came out it was only about 25% Eddies in the first week.

Well.. There's only around 12.000 total players. Most are Tekken players and the casuals left cuz the game is dumb. Veterans left too cuz the game is really dumb. Most of the players that are still playing this mess 100% bought the season pass cuz only the craziest fanboys and streamers are still playing Tekken 8, as it has less players than Tekken 7 during year 4 or 5. So it's not "hype", it's just the sweatiest people trying a character they already paid for. She ain't bringing new players or old players back. Heihachi might, unless it's too late. Im kinda ... Done with the game already. There's no players left. The playerbase is so small that I run into the same people over and over again, with the game throwing me players from other regions cuz of the dumbest change they did with the prowess matchmaking. I don't see this game coming back unless they do a massive patch that fundamentally changes the core gameplay to be less shit. Like lower damage, less tracking on strings, less + frames (can't wait to see heihachi's new +8 homing mid wr move ....... Of course, ff2 is gonna be a homing safe launch mid with 3+ range. B3 is gonna be a homing 3 range mid at +2 on block. Yay!), faster kbd so at least when the game eats your inputs due to rollback, you should be far enough to not eat a full screen +5 homing move... 😂 As if). Nah ..the game is cooked. It's over. They will just nerf dragunov into f Tier like always and be done with it, releasing broken op dlc to sell more dlc. I just moved and got myself a 3 times faster connection just to have more lag than 2 months ago and CONSTANT 2 rollback frames, massive stutters and opponents PCs imploding everytime a character moves. The should have a minimum requirement to play online on PC that if you can't get locked 60Fps on the raining tornadoes stage, especially during the most obnoxious rage arts, you just can't play. No idea why my game has to stutter when my opponent plays on a trash PC. Just ... Let him lag into a loss. F Tekken 8. I give it another 4 months tops.

Lidia has only been out for barely a week and she hasn't even charted any huge tournament placements (as commonly known besides this video). Bought Eddy and Lidia last night. Tried Lidia and I love how she plays (I main Jin). The feel is a snappier and the transitions between stances are the key points to learn to be more effective. I love how she can be great for defense-minded players.

Don’t worry, double qcf’s are not common in Tekken, Lidia is the first non-guest character to ever have one. And it’s completely unnecessary to play the character, it’s just a small damage bonus.

The combos Chikurin chose definitely aren't optimal but they're easier and more consistent. This is a smaller stage too so he didnt have to do non-wall combos.

Lidia is a good character but in my opinion She was better in seven by a mile. Like why is f4,3,4 and f4,3,1 both punishable on block dispite having the same function it had in 7. In 8 she feels like 2 characters in one. People say she's rushown but in my experience and opinion she's only rushdown when she is in heat with atleast 1 stack of h&e. When she has no heat left playing rush down will kill you, instead you have to play defensively. For example ff2 might aswell be -10 on block theres no real mix up with the pseudo +5 all options except 1 looses to dick jab and the only option that doesnt is reactable and gives up your turn on block. I want them to give her back her moves from 7 like the 4 string and give her back her plus frames gaddamn it! Her lows arent good if its not slow they're death on block or minus enough that anything beside blocking leads to counter hit, looking at you d2.

On neutral, it's a guessing game. QCF 4 is slower by 1 frame, but it's plus frames on block. B4 is faster but resets the neutral on block

b1 and ff2 sort of fight for the same use case in neutral for Lidia. I'm sure he is just using ff2 because he prefers the stance pressure rather than the +2 where Lidia doesn't really have good frametraps (4, 3 is 13 frames, and is a huge risk anyway at -14). That being said, it's so early he could have just not incorporated b1 into his play yet.

Chikurin's the sort of player who'll always use the strongest, most top-tier character he can get his hands on (not that there's anything wrong with that), so if he's using Lidia then people should be looking into her.

I disagree, his main lili was good but not broken. And if that were the case he'd be playing Drag or yoshi, they are getting away with murder. Chikurin said himself that lidia was mid at best during his stream. And that seems to be the overall consensus.
