Just installed the S-Type.. it is a bit quieter than I expected, but it is exactly what I needed. Dont want to shock the neighbors, has a low DEEP growl, and is awesome on acceleration. It DOES have some drone, ( or maybe i simply dont know what drone is) but It is not annoying, just a constant louder sound when any gas applied than stock, but again, ,mostly pleasant. All in all an 8/10... if i owned my own place and did not care about neighbors, Might go with louder.

You can also go straight pipe your mufflers and resonator with stock headers, it sounds exactly the same no lie. Side note: I have the same exact car and I always turn heads and get Complements when driving 🚗💨

was that s-type before or after? It's extremely quiet, almost stock sounding from the video. I have a 2016 mustang v6 currently. Have a flowmaster X-pipe, and was going to go with the s-type. Went with the ATAK instead and I'm happy I did. Like 3 exhausts in one. V8 sounding at low rpm, nice loud mellow tone through the mid, raspy and mean above about 4k rpm. SLP LM2 drone I had before that almost caused teeth to fall out. Borla has NO drone.

Every SS I see from 2010-2015 are incredibly quiet. It’s a shame, ‘cause that 6.2L is HUGE.

It's really a small engine though. It may have high displacement, but it's a dimensionally small engine. Close in size to a Miata's engine.

I've read that the catalytic converters (they have 4 of them) make them particularly quiet. A lot of people replace them with high-flow cats or delete them entirely and report a pleasant difference. :)

1st Borla is to quiet, Straight pipes sound really good, Corsa is really nice with the headers, and the last one sounds okay.

Great video but very weak testing by the driver on the most aggressive Borla option with the Atak. I like the S Type in neutral rev but the Corsa is awesome accelerating.

I'm sorry, but that Corsa system sounds like crap at idle, and it's not about loud exhaust anymore. The best sounding exhaust system for the 5th gen Camaro is the Borla ATAK with an H-pipe and long tube headers, or the Flowmaster original 40 series or Delta Flow system with long tube headers!👌🏼👊🏻

I would definitely argue two other exhausts for he just. 1) Stainless Works Retro Chambered catback, and 2) which I run and like best, Solo Performance Mach XL catback. Pair this with some long tube headers and she is glorious!

Want to waste money real quick? Go ahead and purchase an exhaust based on how it sounds on the internet. These type of video don’t give a real idea of how the exhaust sounds at various RPMs and speeds. I never knew what drone was until I bought an aftermarket exhaust and had to drive my Camaro for more than an hour. Needless to say I’m back to stock.

Some might have to do with rev limiters. My friend has a 5.0 and it doesn't limit the revs and can go up to 7k rpm (redline), while my 2013 camaro ss revs up to 4k rpm (its redline being at 6.2k rpm)
