I am a service engineer and have to admit a Juki dealer. 15 years on, never had a Juki returned. The others are ok, just, until they start going wrong. Then it is very difficult to keep them stitching well. They form the basis for most engineers scrapyards. 2 cheap ones cost more than a good one.

I had the last one, the Juki. It was miserable to thread. Hated it!!! Gave it away and got the Brother which is so simple to thread. Absolutely love it!!!

Had a Singer S2030, but killed it when I dropped a needle inside and couldn’t find it. It’s very easy to do. I cover the opening as best I can on my new Brother 1034D when changing needles. I chose this serger mainly because you can buy a piping foot attachment for it, while there’s not one for the Singer. A paper manual also comes with it, which is much better than the hassle of trying to find the Singer manual online.

It happens regardless of machine type...Invest in telescoping light with magnet at end .. ..Saves time and trouble. Costs about $10.00

Wake up America, and join the rest of the world. These machines are not sergers… They are Overlockers! Well, technically, they are surges, but serger is not a type of machine. It is a category of machine. Overlockers are sergers. Cover stitch machines are sergers. You are not reviewing the “category” serger here. You are reviewing a particular type of machine called an overlocker. There are no cover stitch machines in this video, so you are not reviewing “sergers” at all.
