Man, I’m trying hard not sound like a “Fan Boy”, but I can’t praise you enough for the work you do and your presentation on videos. You communicate so well. Brief, concise, and to the point. Those are hallmarks of effective communication. You got it Steve. You are fast becoming “The Bass Professor of the 21st Century”, with all due respect to Doug Hannon. I love learning the bass behavior stuff. Thanks for all you do. 👍🏼

There are VERY few KZbinrs that cause me to stop and think,,,,Man I hope this guy is making a good living from this work. You don't spend a third of your video selling stuff. If you say something provocative, it sure seem to be in the name of learning and understanding and not just generating comments. You deal in fact and to the degree possible data. Its easy for a successful tournament angle to wax on about color or scent or underwater sound. You actually try and add to the collective knowledge. I'm sure it is hard and time consuming. It is greatly appreciated.

I find that using a deep running jerk bait at the end of submerged trees are my go-to spots. But I really look at the moon to decide what time is the best.

I too do the solunar shuffle... i will fish any time I can. But when I plan vacation trips or hire guides or charters for the stripers here It's always based on me being in the water so if the weather works in my favor so will tides and gravity. It's one of those things where folk wisdom really has been proven by science and record keeping.

...and another thing... It's great how you choose your words so carefully. When you decide to use different terms from standard bassin' jargon you use it as the lead in on why you choose to say it the way you do. You do it all the time to great affect. That is a big part of why you are so effective at resetting my brain. So not only am I getting and education in fishing but I am reorganizing my brain to a new communication mode in my work life. I am in sales but I need to believe in what I sell, I need to feel like I am a consultee seller who educates people to really make their own smart decisions. So like said below you really are a great communicator...and yeah, there is some fan boy shit goin on from here.

I love all of those area's Steve. I also like areas were a river channel swings up against a bluff wall. If you find the right depth, you can have a good day. I need to work on my off shore game. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Couldn't agree more with docks, moving water, and especially offshore weedbeds (my #1), however, IMO, gravel (which is pretty difficult to detect w or w/o sonar) is replaced with the deeper/deepest shorelines w/SHADE.

There's a sneaky spot that I know of where a submerged creek channel runs right near the bank. There's plenty of brush along the bank and the shade from the trees stretches out over the water. The bass always congregate around that area!

That is so awesome to find a spot that has all those elements coming into play. A special area that just produces time-and-time again.

I got beat up by the wind yesterday, but to your point I found it pushing water around an island and the fish were stacked up down wind, but they were all dunks. Still fun! Thanks Steve.

I fished at a boat ramp one evening I'm not sure what lunar cycle it was but close to dark, there where shad jumping at the wall and I even caught one that jumped onto the walkway. They were definitely getting chased hard by something. Went on for several minutes.

Hi Steve, do you have any tips for muddy bottom lakes (reservoirs) with no grass? The manmade lake I fish at has reeds all around the shore but the rest of the lake is just muddy with some gravel areas but that’s it. When the fish are shallow in the reeds it’s nice fishing but in summer when it’s hot like now I can’t get bites from the reeds and I’m not sure how to target the relatively deep gravel areas.
