It’s not that frequent or painful, but golf elbow is also there affecting tennis players. In fact, when the problem comes from the forehand rather than from the backhand, it will be very likely produce golf elbow (internal tendons around the elbow). I know because, sadly, that was my case not too long ago

I've also have golfers elbow, I think its from hitting spin serves rather than forehand though.

I was overtraining. I practice 200 hundreds services by 4 days in a row. My elbow says "is enough, stop" Now, I change from poly to multifilamento, reduced 2 pounds in the strings, and play fewer days. And I do a R.I.C.E, is working for me. I hope to be good in some days. Regards

This content is pure GOLD! I purchased recently a Dunlop CX200 Tour because of my tennis elbow in both arms. Would it be arm friendly? It has 310g unstringed, 63 stiffness and 138 vibration frequency.

Much appreciated! You should be relatively safe with that frame. Regardless of the racket, continue to stretch / ice the arm even if it's feeling better. Tennis elbow is a fickle beast!

Great Video. Really helpful. What du you think about the Wilson blade 100v9 L? My girlfriend sometimes has a lil arm issues and thinks about buying it. But i think it has a rather stiff frame? She is 1,60 meter high and 51 kg.

Hi Scott, Nate. *everyone’s experience is different but… I loved the ezone 98 - but I felt it was too light at the tip and was hurting my arm. Watching your video makes me think it was probably bad technique. Using the ezone 100 now. Most useful tip there was to relax shoulders for volleys. Hard to do when you’re holding the racquet up.

Howdy, sir..glad you enjoyed the video. I've added a little bit of weight to the ezone 98 and I'm enjoying thus far. I've heard good things about the 100 as well. On those volleys just remember to drop the shoulders while maintaing the racquet head up!

Dropping my string tension from 53 to 42 lbs. took care of my tennis elbow almost overnight. I use an all poly string (Hyper G soft).

Hello guys, do you know if the Wilson Blade 98s is safe for elbows ?
@KenFlanagan

Excellent. When practicing dont use high reps of the same stroke. Be more focused about the goal in mind and always warm up and start slow to fast and always staying loose. If you cannot feel the weight of your stroke in the tip of the racket then you are holding the racket too tightly and you need to loosen up your entire body and especially shoulders and arm. Think of every moment as a weight on the end of a string and a circular motion. Even the serve. Perhaps more like a roller coaster. Always a smooth action of curves and gradual accelerations and deceleration not from braking but from the flow and path of the movement.
@GreenTimYoung

Good advice re high reps. I do hundreds of reps of my one handed backhand and serve - probably not great!

I started to train my volleys and I run into a pain on my elbow... Coach teached me that I had to hold firm the grip when hitting volleys, what do you guys think about it? Do I have to hold lighter for volleys and slices?

I have pain on the inside of my elbow not outside. ? - regarding getting tense the best I have done is during matches as balls are coming to me I say to myself - “relax your arm” I found it works. Its almost like little league baseball when they tell the pitcher - just think your having a catch with dad. Thinking its like a practice has helped me relax in matches on my swing.

Thanks for reply. I Did more digging. It is my median nerve. Worth to look into it. It runs down whole arm and one can do "flossing" exercises that releases the tension - really helped me. When it's a more numbing "not sure where the pain is" then normally its a nerve vs you can pinpoint the spot. And the median can cause issues anywhere on arm. On nerves you dont ice. You do those exercises. - my sister in-law is a practicing physical therapist so she texted me and we found the culprit and she sent those exercises. Just check youtube - flossing median nerve exercises. Hope this helps someone @@Playyourcourt

I have very mild tennis elbow, should I worry or change anything? 1-2 days after playing, slight discomfort. Around 5.0 player, train 3-4 times a week, occasionally tournaments. Relatively fit, decent technique, VCore 95 2021, full bed of Polytour Pro at 48/46 lbs, using an elbow band

By the way, Nick from Intuitive Tennis argues that stiff, powerful rackets are better for tennis elbow than soft, flexible ones. What do you guys think about that?

@@lilies9251I watched that video from Nick and it really made me think after hitting with a super flexible 2021 Yonex Vcore 97D strung at 48LBS and getting instant pain feeling every bit of vibration through my arm which I’ve never experienced using my Speed Pro, Extreme Tour, Pro Staff 97 and Babolat Pure Aero 98 which is much stiffer…Much like a really light racquet, I find with really flexible racquets I feel the vibration big time…not sure what to think of it all now😂

I have been plaing for 45 years. For me all issues comes from technique - hitting with stiff arm and hitting by frame. It has nothing to do with racket and string type.

Interesting. I've actually switched recently to the Ezone and havn't had any issues. I've had a long history of arm issues due to a accident and the Ezone and Blade we're both non-issues when it came to tennis elbiow.
