Always love doing the LED interior lights. I do that one on every one of my cars! I also upgraded the side indicator on my old SF, but I went for the clear indicator and orange bulb instead

I did the interior to Sylvania LEDs on my 2010 “Foz” Its a little brighter but, The dash lights can no longer be dimmed and they too are a lot brighter. Hopefully the current is not too high and I don’t start blowing fuses or melting wires. Other than that, it steps up my old car. Thanks.

Do you have no regulations in France? For example in Germany I wouldnt be able to darken indicator lights (not legal to change lights or modify them) or use a 5€ "Hella" Horn. The Hella horn is like 20-30€ original, so I wouldnt cheap out on this. It also has certificates for usage in Germany (E-Number). Wouldnt risk anything with the horn only to get it 15€ cheaper. But I bought similar LED interior lights, its extremely helpful to stop those headlights to heat up and waste energy like hell.

We do have some regulations. I think the side marker are on the line of to the illegal mod (but honestly, every other offroad or overland modification of my foz are already illegal...) The horns just have to be functional and the aliexpress hella horns are working well for many years now 👍 I've heard that Germany were pretty strict about that and don't hesitate to take your car off the road because of mods 😮

​@@ALNSMOVERLAND Yea I feel you, I found so many nice mods. I would LOVE to get a hitch but not this european ball shit, the american 2inch hitch. Not legal here. Problem is, if my bike falls off the hitch and kills someone I wont be overlanding for the next 25 years. Also a simple modded indicator can cause your insurance to jump away in case of an accident, they wont pay. You just need the other sides insurance find out about it. And this has nothing to do with our TÜV, this is just in case of an accident. You are not even allowed to polish your headlights, because polishing it would make the plastic thinner. Even when the headlights have a heavy UV damage, youre not allowed to polish, you need to swap them. Good luck with finding those and paying 500€. I still polish mine :D but its nothing the TÜV can proof, that's just way too complicated. And if I see the fat tires on some Foresters, uh I so want them. But I cant. I just wanted to point it out just so you know it. There are enough stories about light mods that caused the vehicle owner to make life long payments to the damaged party. Same with not paying attention to your max. roof load, my SH Forester has max. 80kg, and ive seen some with minimum 150kg on top. Or Suzuki Jimny (new one only has 35kg lol) with fat tents on top. Those cars are wobbly in normal roundabouts. Imagine it on a regular town street, going in the corner, falling and dropping the tent on a person. Chance is 1 in a million, but still. Sometimes shit happens. My Top upgrades for my Forester: - Rallyarmor Mudflaps (20€ for 4 pieces) - Front+Rear Dashcam (90€, does a good job capturing the roadtrip) - Armaflex for all doors (60€) - 9H nano coating for the windows (doing some body parts next)

@@ALNSMOVERLAND @Dennis, I hear you guys, I've always felt Australia is the nanny-state capital of the world when it comes to putting restrictions on every single aspect of life. It's sad to hear that we aren't the only ones. Over here we live with an excessive amount of regulations, rules, permits and red tape for almost everything, Modifying vehicles is just as bad. I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled out a regulation over here for sneezing next lol. Sadly, we aren't permitted to change halogen headlights to LED at all if the vehicle didn't come out with them from the factory. The Police will defect a vehicle if they find this rule has been breached and if you are lucky, they will just fine you, if you are unlucky, they will pull the vehicle off the road, call a tow truck and you will have to pay for the tow 😮 Look at this twaddle that they throw at us over here. Headlights Retro-fitting High Intensity Gas-Discharge (HID) or Light Emitting Diode (LED) headlight assemblies to vehicles not originally offered with the technology is generally not permissible as they do not comply with the Australian Design Rules because: • no headlight self-levelling device is fitted • no self-cleaning function is fitted • the design of the headlamp reflector is compatible with the bulb (the light is not focused correctly).

@@AADCOA yea annoying with the LEDs. But Osram has released LED aftermarket parts for headlights last year. They're tested with vehicles and will legal with several vehicles on the test list. They will have a "TÜV Süd" Seal so maybe it can work in Australia too
