Hey I love your rig! I picked up a SF 2002 & want to get 215/75r15 tires on the stock wheels & wanted to ask. Did your car rub at all with the tires & stock wheels? Can I use the SF rear struts or do I need the SG rears? Thank you
@ALNSMOVERLAND8 күн бұрын
Hey there, thanks for your comment! The SG rear strut are mandatory for 215/75/15 tires because the spring perch is higher. On the front it's all good, only slight rub at full lock.
@perrymelendez24107 күн бұрын
@@ALNSMOVERLAND sounds good! ill keep that in mind. struts, lift first then new tires!😎 Can the area where it rubs be trimmed?

Excellent video it is indeed the 510 component that was desoldered on my Forester Sf5 and it had been years since the clock had worked. I was able to fix it in record time using a small welding post I reassembled it and all in less than 20 minutes it works again bravo again bravo for this little video which is really very useful

If you slightly open the brake fluid screw, put a small flat object or wrench across both pistons, you can easily press them by hand and then tighten the brake fluid screw. You’re fighting fluid pressure.

It is a known fact among automotive enthusiasts that painting the rims black adds about 23% power and torque 😉

so you're not gonna fix the actual problem but instead make it less audible?
@ALNSMOVERLANDАй бұрын
In this case there's no problem since the bearing was brand new. Plus if you consider that the problem is not being in full contact and because of that making some noise then the problem is fixed.

I would go with the Aussie, the American or the Frenchman, as long as we could do some muddin', spin our wheels, maybe even get a little embourbee (stuck). I am older and it would bring out the child in me all over again. I need to to feel that child inside more and more, do you understand, mon ami?

I hope you kept going.... add wrx exhaust manifold as well if you go to a professional welder. even without turbo, it will sound great. I got a damaged turbo and sealed the rear housing, middle section and wastegate valve. like that it can be used on any N/A subaru with wrx or sti exhaust manifold but have a choice to install a turbo if wanted. I'll send you a few pictures of it if you'd like to see it.
