Fair video from your experience of entry level mechanical watches. Orient and Seiko are undoubtedly the gate way Watch companies. Hamilton, too, but they're not as ubiquitous as the former two. Thanks.

+mark percival Glad you liked the video Mark! I like the idea of Orient and Seiko as gateway wtches. I think Hamilton and Tissot are the way to go if you have to ball on a budget and prefer Swiss however. Thanks for watch-ing, Josh

Good video and nice choices Josh. The jazzmaster and Visodate would be my first choices from the list, but the Seiko and orient also look like very good entry level watches. I'm considering the Alpinist for this year........something about that green dial!! Keep the videos coming

+Luke Banfield Glad you liked the vid! Alpinist is not my style, but I understand why people like it so much. If you get one let me know! Thanks for watch-ing, Josh

Solid choices. I would buy any of those. I own a SARB 033 and the Visodate with the black dial.

I do not own a hamilton myself. I recently had to choose between the seiko alpinist and the hamilton Khaki and ended up buying the seiko. I just adore the green. I dont know. Maybe if i get accepted to Hamilton College, I might just buy one.

Hi, i'm own one of that sarb033. I love everything about this watch and one thing i hate the most from sarb033 is that sapphire crystal is really a fingerprint magnet and very easy to get smudges on it. But beside that, i'm okay with this watch

Good choices Josh. My watch passion started just after yours so I have been in it less than a year. I followed a similar path of buying 6-8watches under $500. I think this is the right process for newcomers because you really don't know what you like until you own a few. My most expensive is a Fortis B42 which I bought used. I can definitely tell the quality difference, most distinctly on the AR which makes it appear the watch has no glass. At times I think I should save for a $2500 watch but I am hesitant because I just don't think I will like it 5X more than my other watches. But maybe I will get there one day. Keep up the good work my friend.

I hope you don't take this negatively because I know you're trying hard, but sometimes you look a bit disheveled in your videos (specifically your hair). Anyways, good luck with your channel.
