These Bass Lures Work Right Now!! These are the baits we rely on after bass stop spawning. The post spawn transition can be tough to understand but we've got you covered! Lately we've covered where fish go after the spawn, today we're focused on the confidence baits we rely on to catch them. Whether you fish shallow or deep, these are the baits we trust!
This time of year can be amazing because bass tend to school together. When you locate them it can be fish after fish for hours! Understanding where the fish position is one piece of the puzzle, knowing which baits to fish confidently is the remaining piece. Today Tim is covering his favorite baits for post spawn bass fishing in a variety of different situations. From muddy water to clear, deep to shallow, these are the baits he uses during the coming months.
Below you'll find links to the exact baits Tim discussed in the video. We've also included some of our favorite budget friendly combos for these techniques. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehousehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

I love fishing a spinnerbait! The close quarters combat here in South Louisiana really lends well to it...especially this time of year. Always have a few spinnerbait rods rigged and ready. One of my favorites is an old 5'6 Shimano Crucial paired up with a Shimano SLX 6.2 target casting 1/4 to 5/16 spinnerbaits. Its not high tech, but a compact outfit for when these pressured bass are used to seeing bigger spinnerbaits. Yep...a big bass will knock the skirt off a smaller spinnerbait! Lots of fun!!

Today is Monday, I live in Bandera and yes we got hit with a BAD storm Thursday night. The days before the storm was decent fishing with quite a few fish in the shallows picking off spawning panfish. As of today most of not all of the local bass are not on beds anymore from what I can see.

Thanks guys for all of the great videos and knowledge yall share! I have a question that pertains to post spawn frog fishing.. well, it’s actually a rod related question.. which rod would yall recommend between these four; 1. Fenwick 7’5 x heavy, 2. Daiwa tatula 7’4 heavy, 3. Shimano slxA 7’2 heavy, or 4. Shimano slxA 7’5 heavy?

Danm it... I HATE spinnerbait season. Not that it doesn't work hell it's one of my most productive baits thrown. But I have a friend who for some reason takes credit for the idea of spinner fishing. So every fish I catch on it he takes credit for it... He's got some ego issues.

Anyone got any tips because when I cast spinner baits my line 6/10 times gets tangled around the shaft with the spinner blades and it’s not because my knot is slipping and I’ve used knot stoppers and all that stuff tied many different types of knots as well!

Hey Tim. I have a theory question here specific to chickamauga. Will the fish in the back of the Creeks move all the way out to the main lake or will they find deep areas within the creeks? As a kayak fisherman, the main lake ledge fishing in the summer seems impossible because I can't maintain boat position or cover the distance to find the schools so I just stay shallow in the creek arms.
@andybales7318
@andybales7318 21 күн бұрын
Probably majority move out, but there's always fish in the creek arms shallower...as a fellow kayak fisherman, i stay in the creek arms as well...no fun getting beat to death out on the main lake...I look for standing timber on deeper water in the creek arms on my lakes...just my .02

What would make you choose a spinnerbait vs a flashy swimmer?
@Tightline_angler
@Tightline_angler 21 күн бұрын
I think it would depend on water clarity,how aggressive your fish are, and what kind of cover you’re fishing. That spinnerbait is going to be a lot more aggressive. If you’re having to fish behind another boat I’d go with the flashy swimmer.
@richardbossman9875
@richardbossman9875 21 күн бұрын
Flashy swimmer would be more weedless and would have the secondary action, if the spinnerbait is getting hung up or just not getting bit I’d try the Flashy.

@@xELiTEScOpEsx1 I've never been much on fishing spinnerbaits, and probably went 4-5 years without ever tying one on at all, but last month I ordered an SV 3 and I've been catching 5-6 fish on it every time out on top of what I'm catching on other baits.

The SV3 catches fish for sure but for the price they sure don’t last long before breaking!! Had one break after 7 fish and they were 2lbs and under. War eagle finesse spinnerbaits all day!!!

@@samh6886 that sucks. I've caught around 30 fish over the last month on the one that I have and it's still like brand new. I've had baits break quickly like that though, that's why you hate spending the money that stuff costs these days.

With these videos you should always take with a large grain of salt because they never mention where they are which differs vastly from every region in the U.S. so if they would first start of by saying wher they are conpletely changes. Whoch nobody ever mentions. I guess some peope just dont understand how weather works and how weather affects regions.

It's excluded intentionally because these recommendations come tailored to be as applicable to the entire country as possible. We travel full time and test these theories nationally on a daily basis. Sometimes we include a different set of "finesse baits" because the type of fishery matters a lot more than the location of the fishery.
