Bro, a HUGE THANK YOU for making it so easy for a 46yo Dad like myself to re-familiarize myself with BMX! I haven’t found anyone like you who gives back and grows the BMX community like you!

I used to stunt with my Yamaha R1, could wheelie turns pretty easily. I wonder if any of that will transpose into being able to manual. I’m just starting back on bmx for fun and to jam with my kids.

have all of those tricks except for the barspin, which I will definitely go for when i’m not hurt. Also, one tip I have for the x up ride is to steer with your handle bars and not try to turn with your weight, it makes it so much easier.

Good input for sure!! Hope you heal up fast my man

@@Dougsterbob thanks dude! even if you don’t do a ton of riding content, you still always make me want to hop on my bike and ride. (edit) Also where can I sign up or check out your bmx school? I have a birthday coming up soon and I would love to see what its about!

I have one trick, the bunny hop! Have only been jumping recently though bc I keep hurting my wrists bunny hopping. Need to strengthen wrists
@Dougsterbob3 жыл бұрын
I know I see you getting those hops farther though! We will talk about the wrist thing in the bike school member group for you. Nic and I have been talking about it a lot and it’s funny because he’s currently doing a lot of downhill mtb and saying his wrists are shot haha

@@Dougsterbob Nice! Well, sucks for Nic but reassuring to know it could be a common problem. Good to know I'm not the only one 😂

So I got my new bmx bike and I’m a beginner. I tried to do a wheelie and fell in my first day with it. Got cuts and fell on my chest and chin. Surprisingly I didn’t break any bones but what protection would you recommend? Helmet is a necessity but would you recommend hand protection because that’s where I got cut?
@andoopie23603 жыл бұрын
i never get any cuts on my hand. just wear gloves. fox makes some pretty decent ones. Dont worry about cuts or injury too much. your gonna get hurt a lot in this sport, but our bodies are tough, so you wont get a broken bone too easily.
@Dougsterbob3 жыл бұрын
You’ll be fine man. It’s all part of the sport! Just keep riding a progress at a comfortable pace. Always wear the helmet, and maybe some gloves? I recoommend fuse knee and shin pads too
