Got mine yesterday. Thermostat display appears to be inoperable, with a blank screen after power turned on, even when turning the temp. knob, nothing is displayed. Reset fryer a couple times pressing the tiny dot-sized button on the back of the controller. Good news however, Amazon is sending new All-Clad fryer tomorrow. Hoping better performance.

There's no such thing. All will release odor. You need to vent the odor/steam away.
