Lilium was my favourite for its speed, design, capacity & range. Close second is the e-hang for the same reasons. The Airbus was pretty, but the flight time of 15mins made it last for utility

weird math here airbus can travel up to 120km/h can fly 15 minutes and in those 15 minutes can travel up to 241km... must be some very advance tech to curve space or something also in 250kg of cargo it can fit 4 persons... skinny people

Technically a 'jet' is a narrow region of fast movement (hence jet stream), so pretty much any powered aircraft could probably qualify...

Lilium is good looking and practicle.

All of them can fly but only one clearly stands above them all, Lilium Jet. Its the only craft that A. a true Vtol that doesn't require a runway, B. Does not have dangerously exposed rotors. C. Due to its design has extreme levels of efficiency such as the lowest coefficient of drag 21:1 . It design generates lift both directly and indirectly by way of its 36 ducted fans a that also produces static lift by sucking moving air across the wings airfoil, as well as the fuselage itself. And unlike some of these other vtol concepts, Lilium still has wings in forward flight that generate a large amount of lift, further increasing range and battery life. If Lilium were to loose all power it still can glide safely to the ground, or deploy its parachute. And thats just the surface of its brilliance.

Yes. I think we would all like to have access to one (or more). These companies need to have a plan for consistent income to get their prices down per unit and most of the time that means taking big money from companies who will buy them in bulk and guarantee future business. I like the Skyairbus for tourism, however if you take two engines off of it and make it so they pivot for forward reverse, and make a two seater Hellicopter you will sell the hell out of it. At 6:14 Prototype "Eagle" created lift but it's designe was flawed because your housing restricted it. PS my name is Luis not something racist.

The V tol technoligy can be robosized by 5g much better then electric cars du,ll you can not bump into things in air must less. More space in all dimensions. So you can create a world sized covered network by membership and lower the costeds. So transportion more out of the private sphere into the public sphere is the future I think. Because les roads are needed and less input into the invirement.

Take off from the back of your yacht, land in the grocery store parking lot, get your supplies, fly back to the boat. Or land on an island, set up camp for a couple days, then head back to the boat. Edited edit: I know everyone wants electric only, but seriously an internal combustion engine would greatly increase the range of these. Use an engine driven generator to charge the onboard batteries in flight. Also, only one manufacturer listed here had a parachute as standard equipment.

The flight time on all of these is a deal breaker. This technology won’t ‘get off the ground’ until battery technology and electric motor technology evolves. Also the design of these are so primitive. Maybe in 10-20 years it will be the time of electric flying vehicles but now is not the time sorry to say.

There is NO WAY that a 15 minute flight time at 75 MPH will get you 150 miles. Who checked that math? That Airbus is a fraud. The prices for these eVtols vs. the flight time is outrageous. We actually started with Electric cars, then Big oil and Henry Ford came along and screwed it all up, and here we are. (One was an electric car with a 1000 mile range ON ONE CHARGE!) Just think what we could have accomplished had gasoline powered vehicles never taken the ground as it did. (no pun intended) Until we get those flight times SIGNIFICANTLY longer, buying one would get us nowhere. literally.

How about a nonelectric hang glider or para sail? Something that doesn't have to be plugged into the power grid to be charged! Under the right conditions you can stay up for hours and at times cover long distances. Plus they cost a LOT less than one of these plug in toys. Use less power and save some fossil fuels for the future generations.

I like the Black Fly V3. Especially the simplicity and its ability to land on just about any surface. It just didn't have the range (~20mi) and there hasn't been any real updates in the last 2 years. That being said, they're supposed to be delivering 25 this fall (2021), so we'll see. Thanks for the comment!
