I don't think there is such a thing as "guitar for beginners". Buy a decent guitar, use it for life. I like vintage looking guitars with all that fade and scratches. Makes you remember how hard you practiced.

I do not agree. You don't need an 2000$ guitar to learn . . How many quits in the first year or so... your first guitar should be inexpensive except if you already learned to play

An easy action will keep beginners at it. Nothing makes a new player lose interest faster than a high or difficult action and the fender is definitely easy action.

I've had my Takamine EG430S-VV for over 7 years now. It not only plays as well, if not better, than the day I bought it. It's a beautiful guitar, with amazing action and tone.

I have a Fender Sonoran and love it. Low price, GREAT sound, great looks, stays in tune, low action, no complaints. I'm replacing the tuner knobs because they are a bit flimsy, but other than that I highly recommend it,

My opinion is the Fender #1 with the Tak #2. To my ear, these guitars are head and shoulders above the rest, running away from the pack. For another 150-200, you can get from Fender, the SCE Sonoran Wildwood IV, which I own and love. It comes with bone nut and saddle, solid spruce top, a Fishman Pre Amp with tuner, single cut away design, the coolest looking wood grain pattern with Dao wood and more. It is a very good build quality, made in China, but you get the goods for under $400. It sounds beautiful. Bright, but well balanced.

Fender sounds the best to my taste. I have also always had a soft spot for Ovation guitars but with the rounded back they feel awkward to play while seated

That round back is annoying while seated. I've always been a fan of Ovation Guitars but will never own another. I love the Amazingly Rich tone of the Fender, the Mahogany body and neck , the rolled Fretboard and Scalloped Bracing in the body and the Grain and Luster of the Mahogany top. Beautiful to behold and hear...

I don't know about Cort or ibanez but when I tested the others guitar Yamaha fg800 was better than Fender and takamine. Fender sound was loud(I don't remember if louder than g800) but not clean and deep like yamaha. I preferred yamaha neck too

I have the Ovation, very nice playing, and sound. Only down fall is, I have to play with a guitar strap, because of the way the back is shaped.

@Luke Sliminn how is the action on this. I’m an electric guitar player and my experience with acoustics hasn’t been great. I’ve been looking at this and the Yamaha APX600. Mostly for direct line, so while I don’t want a guitar that’s sounds awful playability is the critical Quality I’m looking for.

Love this video too since it’s about the sound of the guitars not the people but it must be me that I can’t hear much of a difference between them. I think I would have to be the one playing them to really get the feel and sound of the the differences. I have an Ibanez acoustic electric that I bought used and am happy with it although one can never have enough guitars, right?

I own fender CD60 CE It's awesome I own Ibanez V50 I love both With Mic I like Ibanez with slight margin, V50 has got no direct line output And i prefer line output in rare cases

Does anybody out there own an A.W. Jameson acoustic electric guitar. Do they deliver a warm lovely tonality or do they deliver a bright sparking tonality. Are A.W. Правда ли, что у Фендера именно СД-60 ведет гриф, через год-два после покупки? При всем воспевании корейского качества, смотрел Корты и Паквуды, как под копирку отвратительное прилегание грифа к деке со стороны торца (зазор до 0,5 - 0,8 мм). Звук мне понравился, качество портит впечатление, даже у китайцев нет такого. Смотрю в сторону Ибанеза ПФ-15.
